lw That's lovely! And so nice to see something different from the norm and personal to you.
Hope you have a good weekend and I'll send my voice of reason to perch on your shoulder and whisper in your ear not to overdo it. *g*
Thanks Auntie Axe. Having just looked at the list of jobs for this weekend, I'll probably need your voice of reason to yell at the top of its lungs!:D

Well I think it's official - God loves me! My mobile (drowned on Wednesday when a bottle of water helpful emptied it's contents into my handbag ) was dead since then. Then this morning I get a message from Orange to tell me my contract runs out on 27th July (so I can get a new phone!:T). Then I try my drowned phone, one more time, to see if I can still get at the contacts and what not...and it lives!! :D  Woooo!

Good way to start the day :)

suep that sounds like a bad day! Hopefully it'll drastically improve, if not by the end of day, then in the morning. :o

I'm off to scout for new phones (and packages) :D

Oh and I forgot - thanks lw. :) DF gave me a birthday card that came in a nice box, with the idea that I could use it for RSVP cards and stuff like that :) I've heard of a few brides having "memory boxes"....I dread to think how big mine would be ;))

I think we're gonna go to some local florists on Saturday, check out the flowers in question in person and how they think [STRIKE]my[/STRIKE]our ideas would go together...finalise our plans, and then get BIL's mum's friend to do it :D I hope it all comes together this time...I'm getting a tad weary of the flower talk myself, nevermind you guys!

Btw, I just wanna say: I really appreciate all the support you guys have given and interest you've taken in the wedding and the planning of it. It means a lot, it's been great to have a sounding board and suchness :A

Sharon My neighbour had that book when she had cancer for the 3rd time, I think she found it a great comfort.

sharon, I'm a bit like lw with lameness of words, but I'm glad the photos came out well. You'll all treasure them. :)

I'm already bored with the mobile search. I'd just much rather pick one that I've seen, that someone I know owns and hasn't moaned too much about...I cba with all the research! DF did offer to do it for me...but as I'm a little niggled that he hasn't done much of the stuff he should've been doing for the wedding, I'm not sure I should allow the distraction...? On the other hand, Orange will start charging me exorbitant fees from 27th if I haven't changed my contract by then, and as I cba...?

I've just ordered him a pressie for his bday (on 28th) from my bro&sil, and saw this keyring that opens up with space for a pic in the middle, so got him that too :D I thought it was cute :) I need to get him something else really...but not sure where to start? I bought him some trainers a few weeks ago, cos they were in the sale at the time etc, and we're skint and he's telling me not to worry about it, but...?

Hi all, I tried to post last night but had to turn puter off as we had a huge thunder storm.

    LW Beautiful wedding cake

cwta Im another Ebay fan, well done on getting another bargain.

Ive had Bells Palsey before, it's like having one side of your face frozen and drooping, it looks a bit like youve had a stroke. It didnt last long with me, Id see your gp, just to be on safe side. Ouch, I am cringing just thinking about your poor toe. (((hugs)))

Now the bad news, my 2 year old g/s has swine flu and is very poorly with it. The dr came out to visit them and has given him a script for Tamiflu.

Dad's been rushed back to hospital this morning, he still cant keep any food down and has lost 1 1/2 stone, theyve taken him back to Guilford hospital as thats where he had the op, they think he might have a blockage. I cant even visit him unless dh takes me as I cant drive that far.

And my bladders flared up again

Oh Sue, I hope everything starts to settle down soon - poor little soul, you must be demented with worry over GS.

You know where I am - as always ;).

  • Blimey sue, as if you weren't trying to cope with enough anyway. Lots and lots of hugs to you and your family and am always here if you want to talk.

Btw, we found out DF's aunt's had swine flu this week too...that makes 5 people I know of that have/had it... DF's getting paranoid that either he'll get it (and he won't be able to stay at mil2b's or at mine) or that me or his mum'll get it...:o
suep try your hardest to quarantine your gs (and the people he sees) from you and your dad...I think it's the last thing either of you need!

On the upside, some bloke who owns/runs/works for one of the online glasses sites has offered to help me thru getting some prescription sunglasses (which I need, not least for the honeymoon) after I posted my issues on the cheap sunglasses forum.:cool2:
