  • sue I promised to send you details on how to clear the cache and I didn't - sorry. Sounds like the problem is more than that though. I agree with pap the tech board here is really friendly and helpful and have sorted me out many times.

bz Hope you get back to enjoy the afternoon on your lonesome.

veggy Nice to see you again - I was just thinking of you before I logged on :o)

pcl Hope all is OK with you today.

kass We had stoms for about the last 18 hours, rumbling round. I'm a great fan of them except when you lose electrickery or if I'm in the car.

3 shortish jobs and a load of chores to do today in town and then back here to do some more sorting out now it's cooler.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

We've not had any storms . It's weird really we seem to have our own micro-climate, probably down to the cloud dispersal spells I keep practising ;). There is often just a patch of blue sky and sun directly over our back garden too :D. Yet less than ten miles away they had thunder, lightning and heavy rain.

CWTA - I am hoping it doesn't take long to sort the Thyroxine dosage out. I was talking to a girl at the 'S 'n' B' last night and she lost three stone whilst they sorted hers out! I wasn't hungry yesterday - just lived on strawberries and cherries, but did the wrong thing and had a Macchiato at the cafe last night. I should remember to only have tea as their coffee must be processed at too high a temperature as it always tastes burnt . I started feeling ill whilst there and was glad when it got to 8.30, since I was feeling sick, hot and migrainey _pale_. Got home, threw up and felt a bit better, but still not hungry today. Normally this would be a good thing ;) but saw the boob surgeon on Monday and need to come to a decision by Sept 7th - between a) surveillance (sounds like they are going to send a SWAT team round to keep an eye on my bosom :rotfl:) b) chemo-prevention with Tamoxifen or something similar and c) double mastectomy with reconstruction using my stomach - the upside of course is a tummy tuck and possibly a boob reduction :T.

Despite sounding flippant - I've had sleepless nights thinking about this and find I am now pushing it to the back of my mind rather than come to a decision. The good thing is that there will be counselling. I believe there's a programme on about this very subject next week on Sky 1 - so that is something I will be paying careful attention to.

At least my new Virgin broadband connection is working :j and it's a lot better than my previous one with Sky :p

auntie axe i would prefer to wax but i hate the waiting til things are hairy enough?? :rotfl:i tried epilating certain areas the other day ....... all i will say on that subject is DON'T:eek:

LW you soooo put me to shame with all your baking and cooking ;) i could just eat a slice of home made quiche , i may have to make the effort this weekend :)
On the subject of waxing, I'd possibly try it if I could do it myself, I think. The idea of having another person doing it to me fills me with horror. Meantime I'll stick with my trusty epilator for the legs and shaver attachment for the rest.

As for the baking.... well, I have to do something to be useful.:o Otherwise I end up feeling like I'm just hanging around kicking my heels while I wait patiently to die. (Sorry, I'm on a real downer today, I think the mugginess must be getting to me or something. *wry smile*)

  • lw Sweet hugs to you my lovely. I think you should write a book on your recipes as they all sound fantastic. Sorry you're feeling so down. What can we do to help?

Unity That's a big decision to have to make although your SWAT team made me snigger. Are you able to have counselling before making the decision? I hope you manage to get hold of all the information including pros and cons so that any decision you make is fully informed. Would Cancer Research or Macmillan Nurses be a source of info?
Hugs to you too, of course.

I managed to get every penny of my money back from Letting agent regarding house that fell through - Yay! They did make a mistake paying me the whole amount, but given that I would have sued them for the remainder anyway, I'm happy.

Ex-Landlord has started playing silly !!!!!!s and wanting more money which he can whistle for.

Even though I feel like a lazy afternoon, it's cooler, so I feel I must get on with straightening out so I can take advantage of the sunnier days again this weekend.

You guys just being there is a help.:o

Tbh, the depression has been getting to me badly of late; I have a GP appt on 18th July, for a meds review, so I'll mention it then, but I can't honestly see what they can do - I'm already on the last-ditch anti-d they can give me, at the highest dose.

I'm so frustrarated that even something as simple as dusting the living room totally knocks the stuffing out of me; and of course I'm stuck in the bungalow on my own for over 11 hours every day while Mr LW is at work.

LOL maybe what I really need is a swift kick up the bum.:o There's a lot of you here are in a far worse place than me, and all I can do today is whinge. Not good!

 I got back from mil2b's at 2.30pm. I'm knackered. I could do with a nap but not got time really before I go to get DF from work. I think I'll have to set off at 4ish to get him, and if I'm mooky and it takes a while to come back round it's not gonna be woth it. Maybe after I get back....?

Unity I hope you make a decision that you can come to peace with.

Cwta don't landlord's just irritate??

Lw I hope you feel a bit better. I know what you mean about the muggy weather I was the same a coupla days ago. It gets oppressive and moody, doesn't it?

Pap enjoy the new bonce :)

 You've not been here 2 mins and you already know what I'm like...? Scary! ;):p

I'm going to Brummyland again tomorrow to pick up the wedding rings that should be waiting patiently and gleamingly for us  and then going meeting my folks to make sure dad's suit's right. The landlord's just text and told me that some bloke's comin to look at the dodgyness of the front door (UPVC and doesn't wanna close properly) at 9am. Ouch. He'd best be prompt tho, to be fair, else we'll be late to meet the parentals.

I can't remember if I posted on here recently or not. I have had an upset tum for days now and am weak as water! DH and kids have been cooking and I am just coming to end of a 24hr fast. Dh has bought some fish so I will give it a try. Does anyone have any good suggestions of what else to try. I obviously, neeed to try to keepmy blood sugar level. To be honest I am just spaced at the moment.

I know it's quite expensive, but could you manage some Lucozade? If it's suitable for you, of course.

Signing off for now - hope everyone has a good weekend.
