i survived but i still have to go back again. they sent an appointment this morning for my routine check up. so he did that today and discovered one of my other fillings is falling out, he did offer to do it today, but both sides of mouth at once would have been way way too much. i think i preferred having holes in my teeth.0

Unity is the stairlift fixed now? I'm so glad that Mr LW already had a bungalow when I moved in with him!:D
Hi LW, yes tis fixed, only took about fifteen minutes. It must have broken in a funny way because I couldn't physically get the footplate down - when I tried it just kept springing back and hitting the back with a helluva clatter.
CWTA - I hope you are feeling less blah now - the sun is out here so I am sitting in the bay with the laptop on my knee squinting against the rays. It is still chilly though. Good luck with chasing the landlady - will you still be as near the sea when you move?
I went to visit my friend who is recovering from a radical mastectomy and radiotherapy - this afternoon and we had a good natter. I didn't stay too long as I knew she'd be tired - but she's looking better than I expected. It's the first time I've seen her since the whole thing started (I had those bouts of cranial shingles and so didn't want to risk passing anything on) then the radiotherapy involved a lot of travelling and waiting around rather than the procedure itself and she's been shattered by the time she's got back. They've taken a fair bit of muscle and tissue from her back and pulled it round and then pulled tissue up from underneath and down from above to complete the job so she is wondering if in time she will get her mobility back - but she sees the physio next week so hopefully they can answer this.
DS has come back from the 'Fang Farrier' (good one LW) and she has pronounced his teetch 'perfect' - a bit of good news as he was not happy with last night's football result
.
Off to read some more of me bookand maybe cast on my next knitting project.
I hope everyone is having a good day, may your hurty bits be less hurty

I also feel rather blah today. Mind you, I feel exhausted all the time at the moment, and a bit introverted. Time for some R&R I think. Today's a bad day anyway though as it is the first anniversary of the death of DF's aunt, who was very dear to us and died of a brain anuerysm (sp?) completely unexpectedly, leaving behind her son who turned 17 the day after. It's his 18th tomorrow and she would've been 50 this year (although she looked and acted more like a 38-40yr old!
). We're still gutted and in shock tbh. Gonna go round to mil2b's and keep her company for a bit tonight I think, have some tea with her, but I just can't get up the energy or motivation to climb up the stairs and get ready - shower or no shower...:o

Evening all :j
bz, sorry you were subjected to my facebook errrr, words can't describe it but you know what I mean!
LW, that's a good idea about the game ( to suep, that must have been awful!) I did the same with the twins except they pretended they were dogs. It was a bit embarrassing when they wouldn't stop barking in shops! :rotfl:
Just a quick one as I'm at Filey with my sisters. They are staying here for the week so I decided to join them for the night. Will try and catch up when I get back xxxx0 -
lw thats a good idea, I'll pass it on. You must go to the docs if you keep having these dizzy spells. Ive had them since my Lyrica's been increased, Id rather put up with them than do without it though, theres no way I want that permanent nerve pain again.
Most of you seem to be having a yukky day, including me( its definitly another bladder infection) ((((HUGS)))) to everyone.
pcl Im sorry you have to go back to the fang farrier, you must be one of his best customersReal stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

everyone is feeling off toda in one way or another
that explains why its been so quiet. i was hoping everyone was just busy.
im kind of glad i dont pay for the dentist, means i actually go whereas id ignore it until pain drove me there otherwise. i have enough to pay with the vet bills every month. r4eminds me why th enhs is a good thing when i consider what i would be paying out otherwise, despite its faults etc.
hope everyone has a nice evening.0 -
How come you don't pay for the dentist pcl? You got that free scripts means-tested thing?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

Oh dear. I've got to the thin edge of the wedge in terms of ageing. I need to wear my reading glasses to do my tapestry, but when I look up to see the TV, I can't see it without my distance glasses *sigh* anyone mention the word Varifocal and I shall spit!
I mentioned the annoyance of it to a friend who is an optician and she said "well as your eyes start to get old ........".
Shoot me. Now.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

bz income support since i didnt have enough stamps for incap benefit. means i get free scripts too. (which i think is really unfair, incap is more likely to mean free scripts are needed rather than inc support as a general rule). made me really quite greatful actually that i didnt ever pay national insurance form my part time student jobs, and onl worked for 20months before i lost the plot entirely.
careful the time beofre the last time my eyes got tested i got lectured by the optician and told to keep the book farther away because otherwise i would end up in that situation sooner rather thna later. kind of mute now since i had to give in and admit i to wear the darn things more of the time than not. but i can, and do still read without, i cant curl up in bed with glasses on, and thats mostly were i read books.
kass, sue, lw when i was a nanny the kid had her own pony (at 18mths old), we regularly found bits of rope, actual horse harness, childs reins, to play that she was a horse. she quickly learnt though that if she wanted to be allowed to walk on her own beside the buggy she stayed holding on to it, otherwise the lead went on (she outgrew the reins so we got a wrist lead instead which she hated).
anyone ever had o2 broadband? ive resisted switching from bt since i like bts reliability, but free is much much cheaper so i think im moving if im not still tied to bt contract. i havent heard anything crap about o2, unlike telewest/sky/virgin etc........0
