Im just starting to feel a bit more normal after g/d's party earlier, it went really well, I even found some food I could eat (veg sticks and popcorn)

When we all got home ds1 said he his partner and g/s were going to go home as they were tired, they live about a 40 min drive away, they walked out to their car carrying bags and stuff and I went with them holding g/s's hand when he slipped his hand out of mine and ran ahead, I didnt take much notice as I thought he was running to his dad, but he ran out in the road between 2 parked cars and there was a car coming, ds threw himself out in front of the car while I grabbed g/s. It was so frightening, I feel sorry for the driver too though , it's every drivers nightmare. D/s's partner was in such a state she threw up , I made them all come back indoors for a drink and to calm them down. It was such a close call though, the car stopped within inches of him, I still feel sick thinking about it.

Ive just done something I said Id never do, joined facebook  I only did it to see pics of the party that ds2 took, dont know what dd will say lol.

Lordie sue, what an awful fright! I hope you take some time to calm yourself too. So scary!

raeh, you vent/winge away my darling. Tis better out than in. It's horrid when the thoughts like that raise their head and I don't think it's ever something you come to terms with totally. I had a wobble over the IB being awarded indefinately - means I ain't gonna get much better, so I can empathise with you.

Ditto to the cuts etc taking ages to heal - mine always bleed loads too. When they do eventually heal, I can have a little scab that if I knock absolutly pours.

Unity, 'ugs to you honey. Sorry you're feeling crook. I hope the sun shines for you and lifts your heart. Have you been eating to much home cooking if the stairlift collapsed? :p

Hugs to everyone I haven't mentioned. kass I'll look for the info you asked about and PM you.

i havent tried that , thank you. Im willing to try anything at the mo what with the ulcers , coldsores and i appear to be getting acne again on my back and back of my neck??!! im almost elderly !!!!!!.... i shouldnt be worrying about spots :rotfl:
Sorry to sounds like a broke record Raeh but I think you're run down mi'love. :o As I said - for the ulcers I do the sting-intense tcp on a cottonbud punishment. It hurts like a biatch at first but then it helps and you can move your lips better after.... You can take Aloe Vera liquid to drink to, like medicine. Helps with digestion too.

....everything i do has pain involved to some degree, i know 'normal' people have a pain with some things ie. over doing it when moving furniture or lifting things, but i would love to make a cup of tea without aching arms and my back hurting from standing waiting for the kettle?? my neck hurts whilst i iron [from looking down] and then my arms and back are screaming afterwards.
I know what you mean. I've been trying to do my crossstitch again and realised why I've not done it for a good 6 months...the pain! My neck aches, my shoulder blades ache - from the leaning over it, my eyes ache from straining (and my prescription glasses is still relevant) to see it all, the base of my hips (and I'm not skinny!) where I sit on them/my pelvis aches from sitting to do it and leaning forward over the plan thing each time, my arms ache from holding them unsupported at my side (I don't have any armchairs) and from pulling the thread through for each stitch.... I mean! !!!!!!! HOW can sewing make me ache so much?! It's not an extreme effing sport!!

Sorry guys...think raeh got me started!:o

Suep!! My sympathies!! That must've been AWFUL!! I dread anything even remotely like that happening with my niece(s)/nephew...I remember when my nephew ran off at a village fete once and I was pushing niece in the pram - I nearly smacked him then crush-cuddled him when I found him I was so unnerved!

Aw bless you Cwta. It's a bit of a bitter sweet pill to swallow isn't it? I'd love to be given indefinite awards for IB etc, but I think I would be gutted too. Got a letter yesterday saying that they'd received my application for a wheelchair and will pull me in for an assessment when they have a free appointment....sounds promising(!) Good job I'mnot holdingmy breath eh? In a way I'm not holding my breath that I'll get one, and from the sounds of it, if I did, it would be a naff recycled low budget effort... so I'm sort of earmarking about £150 of the wedding/honeymoon budget for one... on the other hand I'm sort of really hoping that they do allocate me one as it would somehow feel like I was vindicated in having/wanting one, and that I was believed. Kwim?

    Hi again :hello:,

Yellow rock, try dabbing teatree oil on things that won't heal .I had a boil in a very personal place and my pants kept sticking to it and re-opening the wound so my supervisor(work in julian graves shop) suggested this and within days it had cleared up.
I bought mine from home bargains( required money saving tip there !) as other places are so dear.

Another little tip re cold sores is to take L - Lysine(holland and barrett) .My husband used to get them regularily especially when he'd been in the sun .He now takes them 2 weeks before and for the whole of his holiday to prevent them and it had worked.
He had a very bad experience in Portugal before using them but it was the funniest thing I've seen.
We where there on hols and he developed a really bad cold sore ,donald duck mouth and really horrible scabs. We went to a chemist in Albufera for advice and the pharmasist took one look at him and started pointing and shouting HERPES HERPES all over the chemist. He was mortified but I was hiding behind a display with tears of laughter rolling down my face.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Poor thing !!!!!!

Well off to work soon have a good one all,

    luv me xx

:confused:Ive just read this page to catch up and realised Id missed a few things from the previous page, what with all the upset yesterday. So sorry this is a bit late.

Unity I hope your stairlift has been fixed, I couldnt cope without mine for long. Also hope you are feeling a bit brighter this morning.

Raeh A few months ago I started coming out in acne again too, I went to my doctor as they were getting quite bad and have been put on a long term low dose of antibiotics, I still get the odd one now and then but my skins much clearer now. My doc said it could be the start of the peri- menopause which is when the hormones start acting up again. So mention it when you go to the docs.

Right who hexed me ? Last week I said |Id never had a mouth ulcer, then yesterday I got a sore patch on the roof of my mouth right at the back, Ive tried looking in the mirror and it looks like a sore spot and today it's really sore, so Im assuming its my first ulcer  can you catch them over the net or has someone hexed me

I made a right show of myself this morning, I thought Id run out of Tramadol and went up the docs to ask if I could have an emergency script, turns out I ordered some last week and they were still sitting at the chemist waiting for me :o

    Afternoon all.

I was going to start by saying that I hope everyone had a good weekend.....
But.... Suep :eek::eek: thank goodness nobody ended up getting hurt. But WHAT a scare! Nearest I've ever dealt with was many years ago rugby-tackling a neighbour's dog who was about to run into the road; so I can only start to imagine how awful that must've been for all of you.

Raeh you sound off whenever you want to, you know we all understand. I'm with you on that actually - just worked it out, and I haven't had a pain-free day in 32 years! And I agree, people who say they get backache from ironing (f'r instance) just don't really understand.

After a weekend of living on yogurt and scrambled egg, I think the ulcer is slightly improving. At least I can leave my plate out while Mr LW is at work, so that's something. I've been dousing the little b*gger (the ulcer, not Mr LW) with Anbesol at night and TCP during the day. Suep btw, t'wasn't me that hexed you, honest.

Sorry, there was loads more I was going to reply to, but suddenly feeling a bit dizzy.

    Catch you later.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • I hope all those with pustulating sores get relief soon *g* An ulcer is such a small thing, but can make life so miserable.

It's been a wonderful sunny day today which raised my spirits and I picked up my prescription which did not raise my spirits. The pharmacy at the gp's outdid themselves this time and from 14 items, they failed to dispense 5 of them *sigh*. I got the to give me a paper prescription for one of the items I had run out of and even then they made the script for 56 tabs not 112 *double sigh*. Am gonna call the Practice Manager tomorrow and sit down with her to detail what the problems have been so hopefully it won't happen again. Don't these people realise we rely on these meds to live??!!
    OK rant over now *g*
I have to run back out to shops now as I forgot to get tabags and I can't exist without tea.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

sue that must have been so scary with your g/s :( years ago i remember ds2 running towards the road when we had fetched ds1 from school and i was sure he wasnt going to stop and i screamed out so loud like a fishwife for him to stop that i think the whole of the school heard me :o i was almost in tears and shaking when he stopped and turned. I grabbed a little boy of about 2 a while back who had escaped his mum and was heading straight for the rd, i grabbed him just as he ran between 2 parked cars!! he was laughing like a loon as he thought it was great fun dodging people

hmmm now surely thats not something im going to have to worry about yet is it :rotfl:i think it is hormonal due to my birth control though, so thats going ;) with my luck though im probably havig an early menopause

LW im glad the ulcer is improving, its amazing how one little thing can cause so much discomfort, im always sure they are the size of a house and then its a little dot in my mouth :o

hassie thanks for the tips, im going to make sure i write everything down and give them all a try. :)

pcl i hope your head is better and you managed to get some sleep xx

thank you to everyone listening to my complaining yesterday :o i just felt a bit sorry for myself i think and a bit worn out [down?] with the pain as id ironed the uniforms for the week.
