  • bz, sis was prolly just jealous that you have made them so lovely. I think they are super, smashing, great *g*

I was planning on asking for a BBQ on freecycle later on, but this one came up and I can store it in the Tack Shed til I move, so nerrrrrr.

Could you get your friend to bring some shopping over? Or go out shopping with her when she comes?

Are we gonna get some piccies of garden now? And the kitchen?
Of course, that will be after you take a rest to recover from the various bugs. Do it please, I'm getting tired of nagging - it's not really me ;)

p.s. why did I read that as "nieces in bum dresses"??!
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

Lol- knew you wouldn't be able to let the "super-smashing-great" thing go ;)

You're such a child sometimes. Nerny nerny ner ner! Thrrrrrrrrrrrrrrupt!

Why would I need my friend to bring some shopping over? I think you got the impression we don't have food in, but I actually meant I don't have any in the bedroom/bed :D I just cba to go downstairs and rustle up a toastie.... DF's volunteered to pick anything we need up from the supermarket on his way home too, but tbh we overspent on food budget for the last couple of weeks so if we can put off shopping til next week it would be a very good idea! The freezer's pretty full so I'm sure we'll survive. I might go on an invite delivery run with my friend though, get some of them out of the way without having to post them. I need to post my family's too, but don't really want to trust any post box but the central town one (anyone else get paranoid like that?).

Um, yeah - keep reminding me about the kitchen pics. I keep forgetting. Were there any others missing? The garden I think I'll keep you in suspense for, as DF wants to do loads more first, there's the other like 4/5ths of the beds to weed and sort out and he wants to powerwash all the flags etc...I am resting. Or at least trying, I promise. You're not convincing me that nagging's not really you though Cwta! lol!

P.s. if anyone says anything about my nieces and bums in the same sentence they're running the risk of a clobbering! They look far too old and far to pretty not to need an armed escort to shield them from nasty slobbering boys!!

I am so not going to try and answer that. LOL

BZ the dresses are lovely - I really love the colour.

I keep looking out of the patio door at the wilderness outside, but there's nothing I can do about it. If I try and get the mower out myself I will for certain do myself a mischief, and Mr LW will be cross with me.

*five minute break during typing of post*

Mr LW just rang me, and we've agreed that when he comes home, if it doesn't rain again, he'll get the compost out of the shed for me to pot on the tomatoes, and he'll do the grass. Yippee - I can hardly wait!!

Lol @ you bargaining with Mr LW! DF keeps saying how guilty he feels that he didn't do much in the way of making the invites, etc, but I keep reminding him that he can do stuff like the garden and tidying round the house but I can't. Plus, of course, I'm an uber control freak with anything creative :D

Thanks for the dresses comments LW. Aren't my nieces just far too pretty for their own goods?

LOL I mentioned the grass and he immediately volunteered to cut it - the bargaining was over me being allowed to go outside and do something as well.:p He means well, but he sometimes forgets that I'm climbing the walls here (figuratively of course) because I can't do things I used to do easily.:o

Methinks me and DF (who of course will then be DH!! :j) will be on our toes that day! I've had friends (my age) who've oggled at their pics since they (the oldest in particular) were 12. Just plain scary!!

    Wot she said :D

LW I know that bargaining well. Although... DF did try to get me to agree with helping him tidy upstairs t'other night. I just looked at him (you know the look) and declared that I wasn't doing anything even vaguely physical and I shouldn't've even been doing what I had been. See, I am resting really....

  • sue I echo what has been said before - you Dad's coming to see you, and if the house isn't perfect, he won't care about it, only the fact that you are bothered about it and needn't be (did that make sense?).

lw I used to sit in a garden chair with a plank across the arms of the chair happily planting cuttings and rooting seedlings. Do you have one of those trays with the cushioned bums that you can use? That was my fave sort of pottering tbh.

bz, your nieces are indeed gorgeous. Are you providing professional security for them at the wedding?!
And if boys are nasty and slobbery, why are you marrying one? *g*
I indulge the child in me far more often now - it's part of my immense charm ;):D

I did lots of packing yesterday and had the Streisand/Kristofferson remake of A Star is Born on in the background. I was warbling away to it ad scaring horses and small children
Is that showing my age too much?
I've really done nothing today except pick up some more cardboard boxes from Mr Ts. I don't care either. I felt like having an "L" day.

    We certainly should.
    I'm not. He's a man. ;)
    You wish.

We have some folding chairs that used to belong to Mr LW's Grandma, (yep, more of Grandma's stuff:D) and a folding table I can work on. I just need him to lift them, and the compost, out for me, and I can sit and do the potting-on.

Bless him, he knows I've been very fragile of late, and he's reluctant to let me do anything remotely spoon-spending.:o

If it makes you happy, then enjoy it! My personal choice is either Damh the Bard, or Even Wolves Dream which includes actual wolf song.
