bz i found one of them easier to read than the other two, much easier, but they probably look incredibly different on paper than on screen. i think printing one of each out is a good idea.
Thanks pcl, was it Sinister Sam (the 2nd link I think?) by any chance?

    Hi everyone,

Hope you're all having bearable days. Kass - I hope all is ok with the littl'un. It's horrible to be worrying when you should be just enjoying. But he's probably just fine. My Dad had similar worries when he got his kitten - but with a little TLC he was just fine. And is now enjoying a farm spring of chasing feathers and learning how to climb up the birdtable...

CWTA - hope things got sorted with the water bill. You're so supportive of everyone else, you shouldn't have to deal with that kind of c###. Hope your landlord sorts it and is suitably shamefaced and apologetic. You've got to wonder how he managed to omit that kind of a bill!

And hello to everyone else. Sorry I'm not managing to keep up. Working full time means that, at the moment, I just work, swim and collapse. THings are really busy at the moment too and I REALLY need a break, but I'm not due one for a while. All work and no play is making me a very dull girl. I've managed to get a chest infection too - probably because of being knackered and the stress of last week. So it's not that I don't care, I just can't quite manage to keep up!

Have been meaning to say for ages - whoever posted the link to Kemp Wools in the last Thread (suep, unity?) everyone who I passed the link on to has raved about it and one in particular, asked me to pass on their thanks for the info.
Typically, Dad's wife hasn't even mentioned it, though I happen to know I've faved it.
    I've ignored bz's ignore comment. *g*

Hhmmmmm, bz, it's hard to choose cos they all look so different depending on what size, word and upper/lower case they are in!!!!

pcl, FIFTY!!!!! Now you've made me feel mean only getting Charlie one!

By the way, anyone know how I can get him to stop eating the litter!!! Looks like I've got another Paddy on my hands :D

Thanks for all the kind messages guys
  • kass, I have a book on cat behaviour etc by a Cat Psychologist. Yes, they exist and yes, they work - I had to consult one once. If you want to PM me your address, I would be happy to post it to you. It nearly went to the Charity Shop this week, so you might be the lucky escape for it.
If you have a Library close by, I would really recommend getting a book on kitten training and behaviour. Then you can start training from the off.
Still want lots of photies of the little chap.

I know what you mean about the name, although I find it amusingly ironic ;) The tongue thing I was pretty sure was a combo of the infection and dehydration -as I've felt like gutter scum (I don't know why I like that little phrase I made up today so much ) I've not bothered to get up and get drinks regularly and I don't want to use my usual companion of a litre water sports bottle, refilled with whatever takes my fancy at the time, as I don't want to keep reinfecting myself. Did buy a new one yesterday during the weeks shop (which will've taken it out of me too, but I did get some new comfy lounge/sleeping in trackies) but I think DF's forgotten to take it out the boot and has driven off with it. I've refilled a cordial bottle for the moment and keep trying to remember to keep drinking. It's so tempting when you're tired and have a sore throat to just keep your gob shut (for once! ;)) isn't it? Anyway, the point was, it was nice to have affirmation that I was more than likely right and don't worry, if it gets any worse I will contact the emergency doc :)

Sharon nice to see your post. You did well condensing what we've been babbling about into that post! :T Glad you managed to get the bone building stuff started :j

Lol, I did think something along those lines myself, as I rarely even get humans them! Was just considering that if we do make it over to SIL's in Derby over the weekend we should probably take my nieces an egg each... DF saw a Black Magic one in Tescos last night which we contemplated getting for Mil2b but at a fiver, even on BOGOF, I still think they're over priced...and I'm well stingy! ;)

My thoughts exactly. Get on with it Kass! ;)

Thanks CwtA, address duly pm'ed. I feel so sorry for him now cos he still won't have learnt all the things that he should from his mummy. He doesn't seem too upset though, he wouldn't play if he was would he? I heard DS2 saying to him "why do you keep sleeping on me? Is it because you love me?" How sweet!!!

I shall go find my camera shortly. He has made friends with the evil cushion and looks really comfy asleep on it. I asked him if the bed I'd bought him was just a waste of money but he just squinted at me and went to sleep

I wonder if I have that costco thing. I get chest pains every now and then and have done for years so I'm not worried but it does hurt more when I breathe in but it also feels like I'm not getting enough breath so need to take deep breaths which of course really hurts. It's kind of a sharp pain and I don't get it going down my arm or anything so I've never bothered having it checked out. I'm just wondering cos I have an infection (sounding similar to bz's) at the minute so that may be causing it.

last year i only bought about 15 and she ran out in june. its th eonly treat she likes, well now she will eat tuna too if i open it but thats it. when she ran out last year i had her begging for weeks for me to get it out of the drawer and felt so so guilty. no other time of year or anywhere else sells cat chocolate, so i will not run out this year, hopefully anyway. not that my cats get spoilt rotten or anything, not at all.

kass has charlie investigated the bed yet? i just realised i have 8 beds in this house for them, only the two on the windowsill get used regularly, occasionally the bean bag and heater bed. he should grow out of eating the litter, move him and say no every time ou catch him at it? ive never had any luck training cats, they have me trained instead. i was relieved chloe already new what scratch posts were for as i have never managed to make whit understand the sofa, or divan beds ar enot for that, she would just wait til i wasnt in the room and go for it.

sharon good luck with he bone meds, hope they work well. aww now the real fun starts with your gs :D

jo and everyone who worries about not posting wot careful said, lurk away.

bz nope wasnt that one, but that one is much prettyer than the other one, and would probably be fine if i saw it not on the screen if that makes sense. glad you spoke to someone about the tongue anyway, relieved now. might be an idea to buy a couple of 6 or 8 packs of the smaller bpottles of water to keep by the bed, wont be cold but will be liquid and can be chucked rather than refilled, or opened and squash added then chucked when empty.

CwtA, bz -- anti-inflammatories never did do me much good. I'm on Lyrica and a narcotic painkiller at the moment. And I have Raynaud's, too - have had since I was 14, the fibro just makes it flare up. Nifedipine's the only treatment I know of, and it's useless on me as my Raynaud's is atypical (sigh, like the rest of me!).

Regarding the Marfanoid ribcage, it's one of the more noticeable symptoms of both Marfan syndrome and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and type 3 of the latter is very similar to hypermobility syndrome - which I'm officially diagnosed as having, but my father has EDS-III and it's hereditary so I'm pretty certain that is what it is. Particularly given the ribcage. It's twisted like a pretzel, has been since I was born. It often comes with scoliosis, and I have a curvature of the spine that's roughly 3 degrees off normal - enough to be a nuisance, but not enough to be worth operating. I tried to find you a picture of what my ribcage looks like, but I couldn't dig one up - it curves in where it shouldn't and out where it shouldn't. Doesn't matter how much weight I gain, my ribs will always stick out!

suep, sharon, thanks. *careful hugs to all of thread*
