  • The post count etc seems to be a bit screwy as it was showing them twice earlier. The size of the quick reply box has been brought up too.

I missed you all too! I was gonna sneak in early and re-arrange the chairs, change the clock and put the calendar to July to see if I could catch anyone out but I missed my chance!

You're a loon Auntie Axe! Glad it's back up and running, even if there are a few glitches to iron out.

Yes suep it was a little late that I got your email....today in fact! Ah well, got it for next time ;)

Housewarming went ok, was a tad quiet but what do we expect with 36 hrs notice?;) It was actually good that only about 6 other people were here as I wasn't feeling especially on form. We ended up playing Boom Blox on the Wii in the end  (very addictive game!!)

Trying to sort out insurance renewals and what happened about the accident OH had now as he never sent off the details of the accident in the end  The insurance renews today and we've not sorted it yet. Only occurred to me yesterday tbh. :o Am I right in thinking that you have a 14 day cooling off period with insurance bods, even if they've done that automatic renewal thing?

Raeh yesterday I tried in vain to sort out the insurance renewal (because I didn't have the acc details at MiL2B's etc) and um....played on the Wii! I think that was about it tbh. :o

DF's on the phone to Direct Line now to see whether that's the best deal they can give us and whether we could have the 12months for 10 deal - she said "that offer is only for new custoemrs sir" so he said "well alright, but what are you doing to keep hold of the ones you've got??" :rotfl:He's now on hold while she finds out! The best bit was he had her on speaker fone when she answered the hold music and I thought she said "You're speaking to Danielle from the Cost of Loyalty department"!! :rotfl:(twas actually Customer Loyalty dept)

Oh dear, it's a shame for me. I cracked off laughing, which then sent DF into a fit of giggles and he had to leave the room to talk to her. :rotfl:

drives me mad that new customers are always offered better deals/ lower cost for 3 months etc. Bout time they started trying to keep the ones they have not pulling in new ones

  • bz, I'm not sure about the auto renewal. Maybe give them a call or look on website if you aren't feeling too "little"?

Raeh, I almost got to the bottom of the washing basket and I'm sure I did some tidying up, but there doesn't seem to be any evidence of it today? Took some stuff bac to M&S that had been sitting waiting for ages. Made plans to make a lasagne tonight from a very old fave recipe that I managed to track down.
BTW, I'm being given an aquarium, complete with fish - a globe type. If I get stuck on anything, can I pick your brains on what to do perlease?
I read something that I wanted to pass on to those who suffer from long-lasting mouth ulcers. Apparently, they seem to respond better to toothpaste not containing sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS). Available from organic places supposedly.
Not to surprised at that as in the World of Arborists, Lauryl is nasty stuff and can't be chipped as it's carcinogenic.
    Hugs to all

  • p.s. bz, I saved Dad £200 on his car insurance using the tips here on MSE. If you go to existing insurer through those sites, they class you as a new customer rather than a renewal.
