Cwta send me a portion of spag bol over when you're done will ya? I'm not really into cheese pies ;) Curries have an adverse effect on me too, but I found the Thai green gentle enough to enjoy, although I may have to put it off til the ol' IBS has settles somewhat. S/e and pcl I agree with you about the "improved" recipes etc. It does my box in. In fact my status on Facebook this week was "[BigZippy] is wondering why everything must be constantly "improved" if you liked the product(s) just fine to begin with?? Don't fix what ain't broke!!" :D One friend posted that the only exception to this rule was, of course, men. ;)

Cwta the appts didn't go too badly, I nipped upstairs (where the CMHT nurse bloke resides) to see him before GP appt and explain my numptyness. He's booked me in for next monday. Not quite sure why now, tbh, as I have no faith that CBT will do the trick and it was all he wanted to offer me last time I saw him (last year). I went into GPs and said that I had a list with me "and I know how you just love it when I come with a list":D his face said it all ;) It was quite productive: I said I'm immune to my antihistamines now, he admitted there was some speculation that that could happen and gave me different ones; I said my foot/toe hurt, he inspected it (yes I had clean feet and socks!;)) and sent me for an xray; I asked him about the results from the tests my specialist had done and he hadn't had the results but gave me the secretary's number to ring for them; I asked about the Mitochondrial Function thing that Kass mentioned and he said he didn't know much about it but my specialist would be the one to ask and told me to "drop her a line" (I think she's actually human and nice enough to respond actually too ;)); I told him I thought I had a patch of ecsema on my head (under hair on one side, really annoying) and he's prescribed some ointment that's supposed to evaporate and not leave the hair greasy, so hoping it does what it said on the tin! ;); I told him about the sinusitis and that the antibiotics the locum gave me weren't doing anything for the infection but making my IBS hell, so he agreed that they were too low a dose and the wrong type for IBS and gave me different ones that I only have to take twice a day (yay! I should remember to do that! :T) and are still twice as strong as the last lot. I asked him about the OT referral (sp? it never looks right!) for a w/chair too. This is where we came a little unstuck. He doesn't think that with the OT's budgets as tight as they are that I will qualify for/get one out of them. He said one of his patients had a stroke and ended up with one with dodgy foot plates that meant one of this knees was in his face while the other was lower than should be. His PA, apparently, is the one to ask about it and she's off sick atm (I know her personally, she's got terrible Hyperemesis so I'll give her some space before I subject myself to the risk of being a vomit comet target ).

I'd actually managed to quadruple book myself in the end cos the landlord was due to come over at the same time! I sent him a text early morning (when I was still awake!! :() to bring his keys or come before 2pm. He arrived as I was leaving to pick DF up from work so managed to give him the new alarm code before he set it off! He text to tell me it was "all sorted tried and tested" (I'm sure we went through this phase a few days ago ) so I asked him "what was it?" and he said "looked like sabotage !! 1 of the outlets wasn't tight enough" :rotfl: So I replied with "Ha! Trust me it wasn't me! It's a pain in the @rse! Have you sorted to have the rads flushed perchance?" ...strangely enough I didn't get a reply to that yet...

Raeh sorry luv, but I'm with Cwta and S/e...I'm in the gang dude! ;) And, for what it's worth, you're NOT a miserable bint! And, erm, is it all the forums closed down or just D&D?

[QUOTE-Careful with that Axe]You make me larff with the bz/Narnia thing and I suspect it's based in fact - do you think MIL2B is the ice queen? *g*[/QUOTE]
Auntie Axe, now now, you've gone a step too far there. Well and truly crossed the line.

Not!! :rotfl: I wonder who Mr Tumnus (sp?) is in this little story...?

Jo_King hope all goes well tomorrow :)

LW well done on the quiz!! More guts than me to arrange that, you have! (Was that a bit Yoda-ish?)

Nice to see you Seaside, don't be a stranger...and make sure you rest up sufficiently so you recover from any ill effects/injuries of your fall :o

    Kass ....just.... :rotfl:

Suep I was still up at the time you normally get up. :( Have taken an extra Amy tonight, and earlier than usual, and completely overdone it (not just tackled the appts, but also gone for the xray, went to get little Buddy some eye ointment for his doggy conjuntivitis from the vet, gone to pick up DF and gone food shopping and fruitless blind shopping )...so hoping I'll sleep early, long, and deep! Hope the "lazy day" did wonders for you :) Did OH get the tickets?

    Unity you ok?

Right, think I've run out of steam now, and brain is being taken over by exhaustion/drug induced haze and I'm still in pain (stupid foot "doesn't appear to be broken" but noone can explain what's wrong with it AND my stupid coccyx, damaged by the stupidly done colonoscopy last year, is hurting after sitting for so long ) so I'm posting. Apologies to anyone I've missed out...including meemee who I forgot to welcome back!

    Wot's a fruitless blind?? :p

Thank you so much for the info about the cream for the head excema! I get this (and have had it for 10 years or so) and have never thought to ask the GP for anything that might help it :o
It's going on the list for next time.

Off to beddybyes now, so will respond properly to posts tomorrow.
Wishing a peaceful night to all.

I've had it for a while and thought it was dandruff in my teens as my parents were never admitting that any of us could/do have ecsema or hayfever  Longo story that I shan't go into right now... It's been on my mental list for about the last 6-12months but not actually managed to remember long enough to put it on a written list til now. Yay me! :A;)

Hi petal, I am struggling - all blistery and hurty  just at present, but I will be okay when it passes. It's just that when it comes on it is very intense for a few days - so I am best off just hibernating.

Be back soon - and thanks for asking :T.

  • unity, lots of very gentle hugs to you and hopes that it passes quickly.

seaside, stay snuggled up with a hottie bottie and get OH to run round a bit bringing you tea and peeling you grapes until you improve.

BZ, I thought for years my head stuff was dandruff - even when I ended up with scabs at the nape of my neck from it. I sortta hadn't really acknowledged it as excema until I started to get patches of it under my arms as well. I had found a shampoo that seemed to keep it at bay for a while, but it's made a bid for a comback in the last few months or so.

Not quite awake enough to post properly, but have finally remembered to say that the forums will be going down at approx 10pm on Friday, all of Saturday and they're hoping to get them back up sometime on Sunday rather than it being all day.
