Actually, pcl, it was one of the (many) reasons I came off the morphine - far too easy to forget that I'd already taken them and end up overdosing on them. It doesn't matter too much if I do it with most of my meds (as long as it doesn't happen every day) but with the morphine, given the dose I was on I could have killed myself.

  • I always forget when I've taken in the morning as well. Blinkin annoying. Am sat here wondering why I heaven't learned to not leave the tidying up before the house fairy comes to the last minute. I'm sure it'll only take 10 minutes, but it always looks far more work than it is.
I'll try to get down to the Post Office while she's here ad get bits and pieces off to various people if I can get envelopes, addresses etc all in the same place at the same time.
Can someone suggest some meals for this week? I am completely out of inspiration and nothing is doing it for me at the moment.
raeh, hope you are doing a bit better today.

toad in the hole-make mini ones and freeze left overs for another time
chicken and leek pie-using chicken breast
HM Pizza and HM potato wedges -again they freeze brilliantly
    ham,egg and chips -yummy
    cheese and potato pie
    spag bol

S/e as far as I know all plumbing was put in at the same time as it's only 10-15years old (the house) and the bathroom suite is such a rank colour that I've no idea why anyone but the building company would've chosen it! ;)

Can't help you on the meds as I'm struggling, on a daily/hourly basis to work out how many antiflybotics I've taken... I guess I should be able to work it out by how many times my IBS has been explosive though, but that's not really empirical, is it? ;)

Cwta what about Thai green curry and rice? Get one of those Lloyd Grossman sauces (the only one any cop imo) and wazz in come chickpeas and courgette while it's simmering. V tasty :D

I've gotta go to the docs now. Somehow I've managed to havve 3 different appointments (for diff things ;)) at the same time...impressive huh? I thought it was just the dietician that might clash (who I've already rung to rearrange) but I actually got sent an appointment for the CMHT nurse re the CBT )remember after telling that awful woman where to go?) for 15mins before my GP's appt. Reckon he can condense his spiel down sufficiently?

  • Thanks for the meal ideas - spag bol appeals at the moment, so I'll get some mince.
sharon, was just so pleased to hear you being cheery and laughing - I won't fret about you so much now!

bz, curry - Thai or otherwise - is something I can't eat. You wouldn't want me to tell you what it does to my IBS!
3 appointments at the same time is seriously impressive - I've only ever managed two before *g*. Hope you get some good things out of seeing the various bods.

    Hi all.

Sharon nice to see you - I'll have the cheese and potato pie, please :rotfl:

Raeh hope you're feeling a bit better; sounds as though you're mega-run down at the mo.

CwtA your trip sounded awesome - thanks for the link to the site (OK, I'm late with this, but only just caught up with the weekend's posts).

I still think BZ nipped off to Narnia when she disappeared for a bit.

Jo best of luck with the medical.
:hello: all my other friends here. I do so agree with what's been said about the friendship here; it certainly helps me get through the day.:o

Well, we had the quiz last night - our team were one person short, as our friend's wife was unwell, so didn't go. We still managed to come 2nd though. And the evening raised £60 for St Thomas Lupus Trust, so all in all pretty successful.:j

I'm totally and utterly bereft of spoons today (to be expected, I suppose) so having a sofa day, and Mr LW will help me do veggie bangers'n'mash for tonight's dins...... unless I can blag an extra helping of Sharon's cheese and potato pie....:rotfl:

Btw I'm glad a didn't have a drink while I was reading about CwtA's cat falling in the water bowl, or I'd've had a soggy keyboard!:rotfl:

i hate ity when they "improve" recipes that did not need improving in the first place. never as nice again.
