I have had a very dissapointing letter today from the fos they are not upholding my complaint about egg credit card ppi this was and online application from 2000. My reasons were not strong enough.dissapointing . I still think it was a pre ticked box. anyone else lost out?) and we said to perhaps ask that it be adjudicated by someone else or even that it goes to the Ombudsman.
Good luck mollymoo, I would not give up if you feel strong enough about them misselling.0 -
thanks for that I will give the adjudicator a ring tomorrow its says i can ring. Just a bit fedup with a couple of claims I have had knocked back. But I will see if there is another stage. Its odd this case was the last one I sent to the fos but it has been the one they have done first.0

On the 7th January 2010 a little under 2 weeks ago on behalf of my wife I gave your first template letter to Barclays about 5 loans which she had taken out from 2004 - all with PPI.
Today we have received 5 separate letters for each of the loans with questionnaires inside then to be completed "to assist their investigations further" or phone us.
But above that on the letter it says "We are looking into your concerns and will let you have an answer or update as quickly as possible, but no later than 8 February 2010."
Do we have to fill out the questionnaires? - the template letter clearly stated why we believe we were missold.
What is the allowed time frame for them to look at the case? - they're booklet says 8 weeks0 -

this is their standard procedure, i have followed the same process like maney others, just waiting to here now.
where they are asking on the form for additional information its up to you if you provide it, i would still send the form back and under the relevant points, if there is no additional info to add just refer them to the original letter of complaint and enclose a copy.
cheersI'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
Hi all
I am about to embark on reclaiming PPI for a personal loan taken out a few years back. When I was sold the loan I was unaware I had even taken out any PPI and would not have done so if given the choice. All sounds straight forwrd here lies the issue, the company whom I took out the original loan with Citifinancial have now transfered the loan to a company called Money way.
I was wondering who do I now make the first contact with to claim back the insurance? We are still paying the loan to Money way and will be until 2011.
I'd be really grateful for any help or advice anyone can offer, as I'd rather not pay a company to do this for me!
Thanks in advance

Hi Corrine and welcome.
Do you know if Citifinancial are actually still running at all, even though they moved on to MoneyWay.
Personally I would cover both grounds here and write to both and see what they come back with, because one of them will come back to say its the other that are responsible.
You can make both aware that you wrote to both.

Check this link out, templates, a checklist of mis selling reasons etc, they have 8 weeks in full to respond, post by recorded delivery - this is your proof of posting. Keep at them.
Good luck with this, please keep us posted and ask for help anytime.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
