:confused:Feeling very disheartened right now. Put a misold PPI claim into Central Capital who we are paying an extortionate amount of insurance premiums to for just a 60 month period. They have declined our claim and we now have to go to the FOS. This is fine but they seem pretty confident that the sales person covered all points relevant but we are pretty sure they didn't !! This is after they have listened to recorded calls apparentley.

Is it worth fighting on and approaching the FOS if the company appear so confident ????

ps: I have also asked for my own copies of the call.

    Hi there

    So sorry to hear this.

Did they give you another opportunity to write back to them?
    Was this the final decision?

If not ask them to reconsider, or you will take your complaint to the FOS with copies of evidence you have that includes records of the telephone conversation, this may make them change their minds.

But do keep on at them, the response you have received is pretty much standard.

If this was the final decision then yes move on to the FOS, you can download and print a form from the FOS website or ring them to arrange the send you one through the post.
Remember to enclose copies of correspondence and anything you have in evidence.
When you post this back to the FOS, post by signed for delivery, as it would be best to send them the recordings as well, to make sure it does not get lost in the post.

Good luck, please keep us posted.;)

  • Yes this was their final decision. Just needed those word of encouragement, knowing thats a standard response really helps. I will update on next development.
  • No. What I wanted to know, before involving them, is whether Egg are right, or just trying it on.
  • Not yet. What I wanted to know, before involving them, is whether Egg are right, or whether they are just trying it on.
  • Thanks to all for the advise, a letter has been sent stating my intentsion to claim. Wil let you know how I get on :)

    Hello everyone reading,
Just feel i need to write my testimony to this wonderful site and the man himself martin lewis." thank you so much for your free vital advise and inspirational feedbacks"

My story, £15000 loan with barclays and halfway through the loan lost my job and in debt, try to claim on PPI but not successful,so loan was sold to debt collector.
I got a new job started paying the debt collector, until i came across martin lewis' moneysavingexpert. i just gave it ago and within a month barclays agreed to pay back £4200 incl 8% interest back.i was so relieved to see the cheque in the post yesterday.barclay divided the money into two half will go to debt collector to reduce the outstanding balance on loan (£6300).after this i will be left with a banlace of around £4500 with the debt collector.i called the debt collector yesterday to make a deal on a final settlement of £2000 and they agreed.now i am wait for the written agreement in post before making the payment. now i want to claim for my older loan which i cleared around 2002-wish me luck!
I am so happy of the though of being debt free by christmas. My writing of this is to encourage people to give it a try if they feel that they've got a claim and to challenge the good people of the forum not to relent in their effort to keep people informed.
final thank you to martin lewis himself, you are a genius.
