I have come across this from another site I post on......I'm sure they won't mind me posting it here, change it if you want to your way, and maybe give your own date as well when to expect this.;)

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you in regard to my S.7 DPA Subject Access Request letter sent on xx/xx/xx. Enclosed with this request was statutory £10 fee.
As you will be aware the DPA states that you must supply this data upon demand within a reasonable timescale, a maximum of 40 days. As yet no I have not received the data as requested, so I would like to remind you that you have until xx/xx/xx to supply it.
I would also remind you that failure to comply with this request would be a breach of DPA regulations and would result in a complaint being made to the Information Commissioners Office, and legal action to force disclosure.
I trust that such action would not be necessary and look forward to receiving the information as requested before the 40 day deadline.
Yours sincerely
YOUR NAME
Thanks for the above letter on wednesday eve, didn't receive anything yesterday so sent this letter by secure messaging to egg, as others seem to have some success by this method.
Funnily enough they replied within 20 min! saying they thought i meant credit card not loan, no mention of credit card in my original letter, credit card statements are being sent in post tonight apparently, even though i dont need these.
They have promised to send out all info on loan, after cashing my cheque back on 14 oct. How long should I wait now for this information, do i have to wait a further 40 days?0 -
I had several YSB loan through the 90s where the ppi was sold to me as compulsory & I still have their paperwork, it amounts to several thousands £ of missold ppi + interest - is is worth trying to claim this ?
I tried to claim back ppi from a loan (YSB) which was paid up in 2002 ( I do not have the paperwork for this one !!! ) & have approached YSB for the finer details but they say they " no longer hold these records as our computers only store up to 6 years. " . When I phoned they have told me that any paper records have been sent to Head Office for destruction.
Has anyone come across this with YSB , any ideas how best to proceed ?

So your still waiting then?
I take it you also checked on Track and Trace (Royal mail) website that this reached them?
Yep still waiting!
I have had a look on the PostOffice website and the letter has been delivered. I'm going to give the FOS a ring, as suggested, as even though I don't need the money getting the settlement would be a measure of 'revenge' for when they sold me the PPI and cancelled all my D/D's and bank cards during the 'processing' of the loan then said they couldn't help to solve the problem but gave me £25 to help put it right!0 -
Evening all, just leting you know of my progress with Black Horse.
I first contact Black Horse in October 2007 and received a typical fob of letter in November 2007. I responded to this letter 4 times and didnt receive a single reply.....Anyway after reading threads on here
I emailed ppi directors on Monday, I got an out of office reply and I contacted the urgent enquirys name on the out of office as advised.
I then on Tuesday received confirmation that my email will be passed to the complaints team.
Yesterday i received an email from the complaints manager to confirm that she had passed this to enquiry to one of her team members.
I waited to hear until close of business today for a reply but heard nothing, so I rang them direct on the number on the email.
The complaint manager confirmed once agian that she had passed this to one of her staff. I asked during the conversation ''what is the policy with dealing with complaints and what is the time scale.
She confirmed that it was currently being looked at and that I would hear something via email & post before Wednesday.
Hopefully we are no making some progress.....at last!!!!
Let just hope its a good result, has anyone else had similar dealings with Black Horse???

Hi there
Your welcome,
As the 40 days have passed, if you receive nothing by the end of next week and chase them up, that is a silly excuse they made, because with a SAR they supposed to supply everything they hold on you.;)
Think they were trying to pull a fast one.
You will be fine now, good luck and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
Yes do give it a go, many have been successful even reclaiming as in the 1990's, you have nothing to lose, so go for it, luckily you still have the paperwork as well, so that helps.
More here with the guidelines of reclaiming, with template letters and a checklist of mis selling reasons, follow the guidelines, and post your letters by recorded delivery.
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
If the loans/ppi was sold by the same bank, if mis sold for the same reasons then you can write your complaint on one letter, remember to enclose the account numbers they refer to.
Good luck, please keep us posted and yell if you require any help.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Hayley and welcome.;)
They have 8 full weeks to respond as from say when they received your letter.
Did you post this by recorded delivery?
When the 8 weeks have passed, you do have the right to take your complaint to the financial ombudsman service (FOS) and just write on the complaint form that you gave them ample time and 8 weeks have passed and they did not respond.
You can if you want to with your own discretion write to them again forwarding a copy of your first letter to remind them, then give them then say 7 - 14 days, if the 8 weeks have already passed. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
