    Advice needed please
My husband has been off work for some time now due to health problems. We have PPI covering our mortgage repayments and I have sent a completed claim form into the bank. We had a loan with the same bank that are mortgage is with which has been transfered onto a DMP and a small repayment is being made each month.
Could the bank refuse to repay us the insurance to cover our mortgage repayment and offset the refund against the loan we also have with them but that has been transfered to the DMP,
The insurance cover is specifically for my mortgage. Thanks

    Hi beaniebabe.;)
When they pay this out, do you still have to make the full loan repayments every month?

I think its silly, its basically given to you but taken back off you isn't it?
And its finding that money until they pay it in as its never paid on the time the repayments are due out.....

Have you tried asking about this on the DFW thread as well hun?
I think many have been in the same situation on there.;)

As Ive said before, when the PPI is simply repaid into the account, they're just accounting creatively aren't they? That money came from YOUR purse and should go back there so you can decide where it goes, not the company who miss-sold it to you. I can understand if there are arrears there but if not - a cheque should be sent to the customer, I believe.

    Hi hun.;)

It just don't seem right does it though.....?
It's a strange way how this is done I think, because if not working how are we supposed to get that amount of money in the bank to pay it in the first place, yet they continue to take the repayment anyway, replace it but it's not that its helping.
I see your point as well.

The template letter really is just an example of what you can write and needs to be adapted to your own reasons for misselling anyway. If you take a look through it and then try to make one in your own words it will be fine. You then give the company 8 weeks for a full and final response and don't forget to send recorded delivery so you have a proof. Also try to keep a copy for furture reference too if you can.

If you need any more info someone will be able to help

    Good luck

Don't forget that the template is mainly on the loan type PPI but can be well adapted for credit cards too. Don't forget to ask for the 8% statutory interest as well.

    Hi there

As Marshallka have said you can still use the template used for the PPI reclaiming, just tweak it a little with your reasons.;)
