Just wait for central capital to get in touch, though if they havent within 8 weeks, contact the FOS. Central Capital are quite good at getting in touch once the complaint has been passed over.

    Hi all

After seeing the replies to my previous posts I decided to try on my own to reclaim my loan PPI and not going through a company. Thanks a lot for everyone who had replied to me.

As I am not very good in writing financial letters I would like to request you to go through my first letter and correct me.

Another important thing is this is taken as a consolidation loan to pay off my previous 2 loans without PPI and less interest and balance on the Lloyds credit card. Shall I mention this as well or no point.

Also I want to cancel my loan PPI hereafter as it is of no use to me. Can I write it in the same letter. If so how?

Please go through the letter below.

All your corrections and suggestions are much appreciated.

Di3004-- can you please help me with this as you said you dealt with Lloyds before. Thanks a lot in advance.

    Regards,
    Mat.

    My letter...........

    LLoyds TSB

    Dear Sir or Madam,

    Account number: [insert account number]

I am writing in relation to the above payment protection (PPI) [insert date]policy which I believe was mis-sold to me.
    • your salesperson stated that taking out the policy would assist my credit application.
    • your salesperson was very pushy in selling me the policy so that I felt I could not say no.
    • i am concerned as the policy was not sold in my best interests.
Unless you can satisfactorily justify to me that the policy was fair and reasonable I am requesting a full refund of all premiums, and subsequent interest on these payments, that I have paid to date. As I believe I have been deprived of this money I also expect 8% statutory interest, the amount a court would award, to be added to each payment made.

I look forward to a full and prompt response to this letter and for the matter to be concluded within eight weeks or I shall be contacting the Financial Ombudsman to investigate my complaint.

    Yours faithfully,

Good one, and every penny will be paid directly to you and not that of a claims company.

I see you have done a good letter, well done and we will help all we can.

If your complaining on 2 loans, write about the both in the same letter, if for the same mis selling reasons, just remember to write the 2 account numbers for each loan.

Also I want to cancel my loan PPI hereafter as it is of no use to me. Can I write it in the same letter. If so how?
To start your letter, with what you have already done, you can above that, write to tell them you want to cancel the PPI as soon as possible as you do not require this, and will appreciate that they cancel immediately.
It is fine to do this on the same letter.

Please go through the letter below.

All your corrections and suggestions are much appreciated.

    This is cool.
Well done and also remember to post by recorded delivery.

Again with Lloyds tsb they do tend to ask for extra time, so don't be surprised to receive one of those letters from them as well, however if you hear nothing at all from them by 8 weeks, you are entitled to take your complaint to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).

Good luck with this, and if you feel you have covered everything then post away.;)

Hope this helps, there was not anything to change on your letter as such.

  • hi all,
i am in the process in claiming back £1050 worth of PPI off loans.co.uk. i took out the ppi when i got the loan, and repaid it back in full in 2005. however i got a letter 2 weeks ago saying that my ppi would end on 8/8/09. i had no idea i still had the ppi! i thought i would of had a rebait for this when i paid off the loan. never was i informed clearly that this would be the case, and i had no idea that the ppi would turn into a "personal policy" when i paid the loan off. since there was no debt, i did not need the policy. Is this fair, can i get my money back?

No contact was made with me after the loan was repaid, so if i needed to claim, i would of not known who to contact. even so, i had no idea that this policy would continue. im mad at the fact no mention of this policy change was made when i paid the loan off.

the company has been fined by the FSA already, so do i have a valid claim?

    thanks to all

    Hi Di

Thank you very much for your reply.

Forget to ask-- should I have to post a copy of loan agreement also (which shows the loan amount and also amount of PPI in it) along with the this letter. Please let me know.

Also can you please tell me the address of Lloyds TSB for PPI recliams to post this letter. Searched for this and confused.

Another important thing is this is taken as a consolidation loan to pay off my previous 2 loans without PPI and less interest and balance on the Lloyds credit card. Shall I mention this as well or no point.
If your complaining on 2 loans, write about the both in the same letter, if for the same mis selling reasons, just remember to write the 2 account numbers for each loan.

It is a single loan now. Earlier I had 2 loans without PPI and now the 2 were combined to a single loan with PPI. Shall I mention this as well or no point.

Unless you can satisfactorily justify to me that the policy was fair and reasonable..... if I write this sentence don't they give me some explanation to say that they sold me fairly.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you,
    Mat.

I got the same letter today as well. Would like to know if process just means calculate as initial reviews have now been completed or am I being optomistic again! Hope Dyalysis has this letter.
I have just received the same letter today. They must be making some headway. Surely if the initial reveiws are completed it is just a matter of how much they owe each of us. I am assuming this is the reason some of the claims are outsourced in order for them to complete within the 6 month timescale, :confused:I can only assume we must have a claim otherwise it would not have been passed on-" forever the optimist"- the bottle is half full- not empty;)

I will give Deloitte a call on Monday, see if I can get any feedback:rolleyes:

    Hi Mat
Apologies for the delay in responding.

You do not need to enclose a copy of your agreements. They should hold all your details on date/microfiche.

If the other loans did not have PPI, then not to worry then, only concentrate on the loan with PPI.

On the last bit of the letter that is just basic and yes if they have no reason to uphold your complaint, they will give you the reasons, then you can write back and act on those reasons with further information as the next stage of the reclaim.;)
