Hi there Dellboy
They are entitled to 8 weeks in full to respond, it's good that you have already heard from them by a week, to let you know they have basically received your complaint and that they will reply by 8 weeks, at least you know it have been received.;)
Yes I think as it was a phone purchase it does help, but be ahead of yourself here and write to them to request for the copy of telephone recordings, you are entitled to have these, however they may suggest that you request a SAR (Subject Access Request), where they have 40 days to comply and send everything they hold on you, there is a chage for the SAR request of £10 payable by postal order or cheque payment, again post by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.
The link here to the SAR template:

Good luck and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I gave FSCS a call the other day as I had received an e-mail from them stating that they had sent my case to Delloites.
The FSCS confirmed that they sent my file on the 10th July and would be dealing with it as priotity.
I asked how long it could take until this was finalised and they estimated all claims would be dealt with by January 2010, However any priority cases could be dealt with in approx 3 months from date picture was declared in default:D
Just thought this bit of information may be useful for Dialysis and others who are desperate for an end to this matter!!:D0 -

And I'm sure Dialysis will be back again shortly to read this as well, thanks so much.:A;)XXX
Have the FSCS updated the site yet on latest company default?
I will take a look anyway, but Twopart should not be far behind Picture, fingers crossed XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
