    Hello Again
Yes I applied on line in April 2006
Have recieved a copy of T&C's, They state
What am I not covered for
If you know about the unemploymentat the start of the policy.
You are notifiedof, or which happens in the first 56 days of the policy.
If you have resigned, retired, taken voluntary redundancy or been dismissed for misconduct.
Do you think it is worthwhile to continue?
If not should I cancel my PPI, I have 18 months remaining

    Many thanks

Hi There Voluntary redundancy is not covered on any of the PPI policies. The only thing is that it was front loaded policy which is not seen as good practice these days. Stand alone PPI policies are much better as they are cheaper and you can cancel them without re financing the loan.

If you do cancel you will have to refinance the loan, you will probably find that you will not pay that much less.

If you feel that this was miss sold then go for it but you seemed to be ok with it until the voluntary redundancy came up.

I think you have to have a think whether it is worth your time or not:confused:Good luck on whatever you decide.

    Hi there

Hope they manage to send as much info as possible, they went back as far as 2001 with mine with the main of the paperwork, from a SAR requested last year.
However a few weeks on suddenly I had a knock at the door from the post man to sign for further documents from Lloyds, they actually sent statements as from 1998, did not expect that to be honest lol.
    Good luck.;)
    Thanks Di!
Are service charges from next directory a possible reclaim! Mine add up to £538 over 2 years. Cant believe it!
  • I take it the loan was sold before Jan 2005 then, if this was on a non advised basis?

No this was sold to us May 2008.

Are they trying to pull a fast one?

    Gareth

    Hi Gareth

It should be an advised sales then, so yes they are more than likely pulling a fast one, keep on at them Gareth.;)

So what is the deal with the 2005 reference made in an earlier post? Where can i find information to back up my case?

    Thanks in advance

It can still be an unadvised sale after 14th January 2005. It is what is known as an information only sale. All the company has to do on non-avised sales, is check you are eligable, and provide you with a demands and needs, policy information, and the cost of the policy, it is then down to you to accept the policy.
