CardiffAntony wrote: »Dear all,
Sorry if I have asked this before but what is the best form of action in regard to the issue I have with Natwest.
I no longer have loan account numbers for the 4 loans I took out with Natwest over a 4 year period which ended in 2006. I asked for this paperwork 8 weeks ago and have still not recieved a reply despite snding a letter of complaint by registered letter two weeks ago.
Any ideas?
Hi Antony
Did you request a SAR (subject Access request) with a £10 postal order or cheque payment for this?
And post by recorded delivery to ensure they received your request?
If so check your account for when they debited the £10, if you paid by cheque payment.
They should have complied by 40 days.
I would contact them and ask what they are doing here.
Any problem and you have done all the above you can contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) here:
https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx
Antony or did you request for the CCA's (copies of the agreements with the £1 payments)? they should have sent by 12 days, you can contact the ICO on this for both as above. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I rang their lending centre and they said that they would have to go to warehouse to get the paperwork and this would take 7-10working days. I was then put on hold and they told me that I would have to go into the mto my local branch and get them raise the issue withthe lending centre.
My local branch in fairness sadi i had been treated shoddily and took my request and said they would send it through their internal post to the lending centre. This was on the 14th of May.....hmmmmmm......!!!!!0 -

Hi Antony
Seems like they have not bothered with this, as its such a long time.
Personally I would try to keep everything in writing, this way they "must" comply, you then keep the copies for your evidence and when you post by recorded delivery, also keep a record of that as well.
It seems they have fobbed you off, the quicker way now would be just to request for the copies of the CCA (Credit agreements) by writing to them, give them 12 days for this and again post by recorded delivery.
They don't seem to be treating you fair here and as it was verbal they have pushed it on the one side it seems, so for now just request for the agreements in writing by enclosing the £1 postal order or cheque payment, post by recorded delivery and keep a check on the 12 days from when they receive this request.
You can track the ref number down with the recorded post office receipt on the Royal mail website to ensure its been posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Antony, if you have no account number details on the letter to request for the CCA, give them as much personal details as possible, in order for them to track down your information easier, your address if it were different then and also add your date of birth.
You can still though request a SAR if you want to, let me know if you want the template letter for the SAR.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
thanks Di, I will do that this afternoon.
Should I address it to their lending centre?0 -

Good luck Antony
If they have a data dept, personally I would write to them, if not then yes write to the leading centre.;)
If its just the CCA's you request, I found a template for this here, hope this helps, good luck.;) You can always SAR later on if you want to, there is a SAR template on this thread, but let us know if you cannot find it, this below is the cheapest option for now for the CCA's and they must comply by 12 days.

Good one Antony, at least with all the info you will give them as well, it should help and they should have no problems in supplying your information to you.;)
When it comes to the reclaiming side of the PPI there are also templates on this site as well, give us shout when you want to get on with this and we shall help step by step. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Antony
When you receive your paperwork, you can then move on to the reclaiming when your ready, just to post the info here in case you want to read this through, and check it out, of course you can still continue while your waiting for the paperwork to come through if you want to.;)
