    Thanks folks....:A ;) .

It will be nice, my sister worked it out to be something like just over £1.5K in PPI...and as you know hubby's is now moved on to the adjudicator, in fact the same one I had first time lol and if he is successful with his 2, his works out to what I recall over £3.5 in PPI, so fingers crossed.;)

    Hi

Its always a good idea to request a SAR, you will find the template I posted on page one of this thread, its an updated SAR which Incipience posted, this may come in handy for your complaint where some useful information maybe received to help your case.

If the 8 weeks have passed you should be entitled to take this to the financial ombudsman service now, and also enclose a copy of the completed form for the finance company where they may still take a look, and if you succeed in this you just then let the FOS know.;)

    Good luck

Thank you for your replies Insipience and Di. I didn't intend to post and run but the baby had other ideas!

I will sent a SAR to them and get the ball rolling for FOS. I don't think that it's a good sign that they're taking this long is it?

    Thank you.:A X

It already been with an adjucator for the last few months, since September last year if I remember correctly, but lloyds did not agree in upholding this, so now although its moved on to the ombudsman, they have their own adjudicator that works closely with them that's what I was told....;)

  • I took out a business loan around 2003. As I'd previously had mental health problems, the bank would only agree to the loan if I took out PPI, which was a lump sum added to the loan. In 2004 I was taken ill again and unable to make the payments on the loan. I tried to claim under the PPI but didn't manage to complete all the paperwork correctly (due to my illness) and the claim never went through. When I was well enough again to deal with the paperwork they said it was too late to claim and the loan had been tranferred to collections. So I don't know if the claim would have been denied because of a pre-existing condition.

The loan is now dealt with by a debt collection agency and I pay a minimal amount per month. The loan amount was around £15,000 but I'm not sure what the PPI cost was without digging out the paperwork.

Is it possible to claim for misold PPI on a business loan (trading as a sole trader rather than a company)? Is this likely to be deemed a case of miselling because it was a requirement of the loan? Is it right that I couldn't claim because I delayed filling in the forms (although it's probably far too late now!).

    Hi Maisie May

Yes you can claim it back I have PPI on business loans, business overdrafts and OH loans and am claiming them all back.

Why did they sell you PPI along with a loan if you had Mental Health Problems cause you would not have been covered. Would you? They talking a load or rollocks surely. To say you will not get the loan without PPI because of MH probs and it is not covered. You should have them over a barrel with that one surely. Do you have terms and conditions.

If not am sure I have several different ones here we can look at.
