I wanted to ask a question, if FOS find in your favour, the 8% statutory interest, is it paid on the total sum of the PPI amount, or is it paid per annum? ie, for 3 years or more?
How mine was worked was it was a simple interest added being they totalled up what they owed for the misselling and then paid 8% simple interest on to date from the date the policy ended. Some ask for another kind of interest that is paid in another form. Just giving my view of how mine was worked.

    Hi Jammy D

Mine was paid simple interest and not compound. on Barclaycard Loans but compounds interest on PPI ON A and L Credit cards.

    Hi DI
just to let you know i phoned FOS today, they gave me a reference
number, and filled in form over the phone ;) as Halifax have gone over time limit.
Also gave Halifax a ring, they said they were still investigating, so i told them i had contacted FOS and FOS would be contacting them shortly on my behalf
so lets hope this hurries them up with a final responce:confused:

Lets hope it does hurry them up. :T

Just a thought. Can I ask if you belong to a Union or Body e.g. if you are say a teacher you would have professional representation, and Secondly when you were employed by this large Company most have an Employers Handbook. In that Handbook you should be able to find a Counselling/ Advisory/ Support service. It is usually a number that is provided so that you can ring up. It is a free service and you can get legal, health, employment, financial help.

Most large Employers provide it to cover themselves against employee stress etc so they have ticked appropriate boxes for staff support/

Just a thought to help you.

It is easier if you put the amount and date in a list . Have you read reclaiming Credit card charges in "reclaim £1000's.There is a form where you enter amounts date and it adds 8%? You can then print this off and send this instead. Saying that if sending statements is easier for you just make sure you ask for the 8% interest
Oh yes i want it all back, but i cant ask for the charges that were £12 tho can i? xxx
