OMG you have a busy family
Good for you on the reclaiming front. Go for it. If you need any help then please post on here.;)
Thanks for that I am going to be busy or well I should be actually decorating my sons bedroom as he has just turned 4 and wants a "big boys" bed and bedroom he told me he wants a blue wall with Ben 10 on it and and white wall with star wars clone wars a green ceiling and yellow and purple walls! So we settled for blue wall feature wall with Disney Cars stickarounds I got off ebay as I had some funds in my paypal from sale of books and baby clothes lol and also magnolia for the 3 walls I got a border in the sale at Homebase (my friends son works there and texts me when they have a sale on  ) so get the bargains most of the time hehe!
Off on holiday next week well nursery finishes up 2m so am off the first week of the hols and decorating most of the house my inlaws gave us paint and so did my mum/dad and brushes etc so we dont really need much just giving the place a freshen up and to take my mind off the claims and PPI and debts etc.
Very therapeutic I believe also my work have just bought part of a solicitors in Edinburgh so they move in on Monday and when I go back on 14th am going to be doubly busy so need to have a break before I get totally hammered in work lol.
Also working at the weekend I do private hire so keeps me on my toes. My birthday is on Sunday so celebrating on Monday with lunch with my sis in law and the kids shouldbe fun have a good family and we all help out each other when we can.
So have done my letters and put them in envelopes just got to get stamps in the morning and then see what happens......oh the joys.
But thanks again and its nice to get some advice from people who have been through what you are going through and nice to hear of your success stories.
Thanks a bunchxx Tracey XX:jLiving Life to the Full0 -

Can anyone please tell me if you can only claim ppi for the last six years or can it be for longer?0
-
Hi My complaint has now been with the ombudsman for 14 months, we were told that it had been allocated to a case worker back in January but have still heard nothing, do they not complete these on a top of pile basis or are people able to Que jump? Egg have stalled paying back our miss sold PPI, on telephone recordings where people have accepted the PPI they have found the tapes, on ours where we questioned them on the selling they cannot find the tape (convenient or what)0

Hi there
And yes you can still try to reclaim PPI, I have in fact just recently won a case through the FOS of a 2001 case, this is a bank though.
You will be told in the responses from the finance company if you would be eligible to take this to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) or not, depending if the company were covered/under jurisdiction by GISC, where the FSA taken over in Jan 2005, but there are ways around this.;)
Let us know if you require any help with the PPI reclaiming, with templates etc.

Hi Terry
I hope you hear soon.
Sometimes the other party requests for more time, where normally the FOS do give them this, although a timescale, but they can take some time, especially if the case becomes complexed.
Or there are so many complaints about the same company, this does not help as the loan company are dealing with possibly loads a day, I hear EGG is a very common one.
One of mine had taken 14/15months then paid out just after.
However, there is no harm in emailing or ringing them every other week or so, if you do not hear often enough, as I imagine how curious you may be.
Good luck anyway and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
