I know the point you are making, but while the thread is being filled with this, posts are remaining unanswered, this is the reclaiming board,if you want to carry on with this, you should start a new thread, this leaves this thread free for the purpose of what it says on the tin
Hi Amersall, understand what you are saying but this would be lost in a new thread, there are so many new people on here now that it really is worth them seeing and reading about the latest results on these banks. These threads and postings on forums are picked up by the banks to read as well, they can see how disgusted we are with them. Source of that information is the FSA0 -
I sent my claim letter off to Santander on the 8th Feb but haven't even had a letter to confirm they are looking into this. Do you think I should give them a ring?
Thanks0 -
Hi when you say arrears do you mean the balance on your card or your behind on your payments?
When i ask this i'm not trying to be nosey abundance it's just that if your card only has a balance on it it's going to be a bit different say if you'd gone over your agreed limit or got behind with payments so to give an informed answer we would have to know this.0 -

I was rejected by Cap1 and have now been rejected by the FOS although I will be appealing. I've nothing else to add to my claim, other than I think I should have had my attention drawn to it and been given the option to cancel the PPI in the 6 or 7 years before I realised I was paying it, and I'll be honest I'm not hopeful, but I've come this far and it's not costing me any more to go forward so might as well pursue it.SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Keep going karen i remember when i was Ready to throw in the Towel it was only Di who kept me going and persuaded me to contact the ombudsman and i got a good result, as i said before it's worth a shot as my initial adjudicator rejected me on nearly all my points but the Ombudsmans stance was totally different, if the fos get enough complaints they'll have to sit up and take notice.0 -

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me. I potentially have 5 loans/credit cards which had PPI on them, although don;t have all the paperwork to get started. If I took the loans out online, is it still worth persuing or should I give up on those now? The one in mind dates back to 2004, I can't remember if boxes were already ticked and you had to opt out, but I've worked out that I had a medical condition at that time which would have made the insurance void anyway. Will they just turn round and say it was my fault or is it worth claiming anyway?
Would really appreciate any advice on this.

Cheers for the reply - are you saying that the interest on the PPI is already included as this is a loan, whereas it wouldn't be if it was a credit card?
When I was on the phone to IF, I did ask if accepting their offer would mean any claim against Pinnacle would become void, they said no, as is it's a seperate issue. I can see where they're coming from - I just want to be certain.
Yes,the interest on a loan ppi is included in the ppi monthly payment, take the total ppi and interest over the term and that is the monthly payment you make.
Good luck with Pinnacle, and let me know how you get on.0
