Thanks, by the way!
Well you can put down what you have or call them and ask for details which they should supply by letter, they did for me and it was fairly easy to call them and check up on the validity of policy numbers etc, you would be best to get all the details though and put on the forms just in case it has to go to the fos but this being front loaded ppi this is very unlikely, i think you have multiple wins there.0 -

Can anyone tell me if they have claimed from the Next Directory, I've been paying payment protection insurance over many years which I didn't ask for.
Many thanks in advance.0 -
Hi the extra loans will be yours it's your lucky day i had HSBC do this with me and tell me about an extra loan i had which i had forgotten about, they are required to do this under the fsa rules, fill all your forms in and get them into HSBC
I have held 3 loans with santander but only claimed for 2 of them as I could only remember acc no's for the 2. They have not contacted me to state that I have had the other.....
Mmmmm something fishy me thinksIt's nice to be important, but more important to be nice!!0 -
Wondering whether to even bother trying.....
I know I was missold PPI as I was told I couldn't have the loan without it. I was on a years temporary contract and my husband was self-employed.
I don't have any of the loan paperwork but I do have the bank statement showing the payments for the loan and for the PPI separately. This was back in 1996 when we got the loan.
I rang the bank yesterday and was told they don't keep any agreements beyond 7 years so they can't provide me with any details.
When my contract ended we got behind with payments and ended up with a debt management plan through CAB. The insurance would not let us claim even though I was now unemployed.
A total stitch up really but without any paperwork or agreement numbers do I have a hope in hell? Surely if they don't keep paperwork that far back either then there's nothing to prove what existed.0 -

So I wrote them a very long letter that went like this:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently contacted you regarding PPi that had been fraudulently added to my account by your team.
You responded to my complaint stating that you had reviewed my complaint and have concluded that with the information that you hold that you have no evidence of a mis sell and that you believe that I am eligible to claim on the insured risks.
I reiterate what I said in my original complaint to you:
I did not agree to purchase this policy.
I ticked NO on the original application, I would not have changed my mind when activating the card.
I am NOT I repeat NOT eligible to claim on the insured risks as I am covered for those by my employer.
I DO NOT accept your response as final, you have NOT completed a comprehensive review.
You have evidence through my letter that
A) I DID NOT want PPII am covered by my employer.
I demand that unless you review your decision and uphold my complaint, that you send me a recording of the telephone conversation so that I can forward that and my copy of the ticked 'NO box for PPI' agreement to the Financial Ombudsman.
I expect a written response within 14 days of receipt of this letter
Yours
Anyway yesterday had a letter saying they are looking into my complaint and this may take 7 weeks, this letter is from the same man who said the last letter was his final response..Obviously changed his mind heehee!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I put in a similar compalint to Cap One last year , they said I had not ticked the form for PPI but had agreed to it when a replacemant card was activated 2 years late. I asked for phone call transcripts which they could not supply , at the time I was also unemployed so the PPI would have been useless. Anyway, I then sent my complaint to the FOS last July. They have been in regular phone contact and they asked for NI information to prove I was not working, I sent this to them. This morning I got a call saying they had upheld the complaint BUT Capital One want to see the NI documents, now I am thinking - can they do this ? The FOS have given Capital One 2 weeks to respond so more waiting.
Good luck with your claim but they are a hard nut to crack

I have just received a final rejection letter about Barclays PPI claim saying that there was no PPI on the original loan. I sent Barclays copies of the PPI Policy and loan agreement. The PPI is on a renewal of an existing loan before the expiry of the original loan.
Is there any legal reason why Barclays have declined to refund the because on a refinancing loan?
What are my chances of making a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman?
Please help.
Thank you.0 -
Over the years we have had a few loans with a few different companies although don't recall or have most of the paperwork for them. Is there a standard letter I can send to all companies to request copies of any loan information they may hold? As some of theses may have been over 6 years ago is it worth getting a copy of my credit report??
Now we've had a win I'm well on the trail........
Soooooo....
I've had a good scoot around to find the companies we have had loans/credit agreements through over the years
Black Horse (car finance) £3000
First Financial (Safestyle Windows) £2800
Beneficial Finance (HFC) £8000
3 Barclayloans £15000
Co-Op £3500
2 Santanderloans £14000
1 Santander HP £1200
Future Mortgages £22000
I have put claims in to Santander, Future Mortgages and sent a SAR to Beneficial Finance.
Does anyone have a template letter that I can send to each company requesting information of any loans that I have held with them? It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice!!0 -
Hi Everyone!
SO...if I had a mortgage and whilst applying was sold PPI with payment shield, pinacle insurance etc is it the insurance companies I send the claim to, or the Mortgage provider that sold me these products with the mortgage?
Thanks all0 -
I have held 3 loans with santander but only claimed for 2 of them as I could only remember acc no's for the 2. They have not contacted me to state that I have had the other.....
Mmmmm something fishy me thinks
Ring them up and ask if they can find the others, some banks look at all loans, some don't.0
