Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently contacted you regarding PPi that had been fraudulently added to my account by your team.
You responded to my complaint stating that you had reviewed my complaint and have concluded that with the information that you hold that you have no evidence of a mis sell and that you believe that I am eligible to claim on the insured risks.
I reiterate what I said in my original complaint to you:
I did not agree to purchase this policy.
I ticked NO on the original application, I would not have changed my mind when activating the card.
I am NOT I repeat NOT eligible to claim on the insured risks as I am covered for those by my employer.
I DO NOT accept your response as final, you have NOT completed a comprehensive review.
You have evidence through my letter that
A) I DID NOT want PPII am covered by my employer.
I demand that unless you review your decision and uphold my complaint, that you send me a recording of the telephone conversation so that I can forward that and my copy of the ticked 'NO box for PPI' agreement to the Financial Ombudsman.
I expect a written response within 14 days of receipt of this letter
Yours
Sounds good to me jeannie1505 :T I particularly like the fact that you state it was "fraudulently" added because that is exactly what it was but I would knock off "by your team" at the end of that sentence as it wasn't their team that added it really.
Wait for amersall to come back to you though but I'm impressedSuccesses

Hi there again, anyone had to deal with egg regarding an old inactive account since Barclaycard took over? Tried phoning Barclaycard as thats what the egg website says but they said they had no record of an account at my address. The egg website gives a whole list of numbers but nothing for general customer services as a starting point? Any ideas?0

Hi guys,
I had recently sent off PPI claim forms to Egg, Halifax and Santander/GE Money and i'm in need of advice.
The Santander reply letter has quite a curt tone to it and says at the end that it is their final response and they have reached the end of their internal complaint hanlding procedure and gives me the address for the FLA.
To give the context for this complaint, I was a student and working part-time only back in 2004 when I was 19. Buying something in Debenhams and the person at the till basically said something along the lines of 'If you take our storecard you can get xx% off of this purchase'. Being young and naive, I said yes.
No questions were asked about occupation etc and nothing was explained in regards to insurance cover and if I would be eligible or not. I was just asked to sign the two boxes that the guy had starred and that was it.
One of those boxes I can see from the credit agreement was for the account cover. So despite the fact I wasn't eligible for the cover and nothing was explained, they are saying I wasn't mis-sold it as they have no way of knowing what took place in store,I signed the box, that I could have cancelled within 30-days, that my(non-existent) partner could have claimed as it is a 'breadwinner' policy and that I could have claimed or cancelled at any time.
I remember subsequently seeing the account cover on some of my statements back then, but let inertia set in and decided to just not cause a fuss and maybe I could use it and forgot about it. Well I couldn't have claimed for a number of years as I wouldn't have met the eligibility to claim, and when I realised all of this I cancelled the policy in 2009.
Despite saying this is their final response, they also mention that 'they would need further evidence confirming I was a student at the time and not in full-time employment when the policy was sold...and confirmation my partner did not meet eligibility criteria' and asking for a copy of NI contributions paid for that year.
To me it seems a blatant case of mis-selling even though i've signed a box. I only signed it because nothing was explained and the Sales assistant had kindly marked the boxes I 'needed to sign'. If the insurance and card were not explained and I could not have claimed on the cover, surely that is wrong?
Sorry for the long post. Somebody with experience of claiming pleaase help! I don't know what to reply with.0 -

Hi, complete newbie here.
Just finished (this month) a HFC Bank loan, heard about the PPI reclaim info so want my money back! LOL. The loan was over 84 months starting back in 2004 and it looks like I've got something like £5k of PPI on it.
So, I've got the questionaire I've filled out (PPI-consumer-questionaire.docx) but which bits do I delete? Do I leave in the pink and black section at the very top of the document titled "Payment Protection Insurance: consumer questionaire"? Or does that have to be deleted?
So I just send the consumer questionaire plus a copy of my original loan agreement documentation to HFC? Would there be a particular department I would need to address it to? I have an address of PO Box5055 in Coventry, do I simply send it there?
I'm sure these are stupidly obvious questions I'm asking but I want to make sure I get it right.
Hope some kind soul/s can help.
Huge thanks

Hi Daz, welcome to the forum
Leave the questionnaire as it is, no need to delete any of it. The address for HFC as posted in the A-Z section is
HFC BANK PLC CUSTOMER SERVICES MANAGER,
CUSTOMER SERVICES,
PO BOX 2445,
BIRMINGHAM,
B1 3PJ
TEL: 0870 0100453
If, and I think it is probably the case that the PPI was a "single premium upfront" this is a strong reason for mis sell. Make sure you state this on the questionnaire as this is a big no no and has a good success rate as it was fraudulent activity. Look at the reasons for mis sell here
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
If all or any apply to you then include them, but you only need one good reason to get redress Upfront single premium is a good start. Good luck and keep us posted on progress, any help needed just shout
BTW only send copies of the questionnaire and your original documents, keep the originals yourselfSuccesses
