OO that has inspired me so much!
I sent my first basic 5 letters off with attached agreements. My hubby has a loan with Direct Loan and all I can find on a old bit of paper is 2006, Direct Line and then a long number which im guessing is an agreement number
3 digits/4 digits/9 digits all numbers. Do you think its worth our while to send it off? Havent got a clue what to put in the letter.

Many Thanks

• Hi cappo, tried to send my email to ppi customer relations but had it returned "undeliverable" so presumably I have address wrong.
I used ppi.customer.relations@lloydstsb.co.uk which I found on a thread in this forum
Would be much obliged if you could confirm the address you used.
Many thanks

Do it, for the cost of a recorded signed post, about 73 pence, you cant afford not to. As for the letter, look on here, theres loads of links that will tell you what to put. The easiest way is to use the FOS questionnaire with a covering letter.

The very best of luck, there's plenty of good advice from people on here;)
IF HIND SIGHT WAS FORESIGHT WOULD I STILL NEED TO GO TO THE OPTICIANS???

Hi
I have heard that they have extended the amount of years that you can go back for claims but not sure how long this now is - I had a couple of loans when the kids were younger around 10-12 years ago, one with Northern Rock and one with Alliance & Leicster, I have no documents to hand any longer but I have a inkling that I was asked to take payment protection in order to get at least one of those loans. Is it possible to go that far back for credit info with experian etc and thus make a claim?
Thanks
Fiona

Hi amersall

My Friend went to Bank Wed as arranged on our visit on 29th Dec primarly to collect PPI Agreement copy as request on 29th and ask for bit further back Transactions (my mistake on dates ) No PPI Agreement available as promised said different Dept - and they tried AGAIN to get him to fill in to Activate PPI on Phone while there- He told them No again !!! There is no recording disc of the Phone Sale of the PPI - so that leaves me to tell of frequent pressurising calls etc. and lack of proper questions asked by Salesman.

When I read the letter that came with the Transactions requested on 29th Dec and found Barclays have charged £5 again which I paid on My Card on 29th so I have just put a note through his letterbox this evening that he has to go in Friday and tell them to refund Immediately and wait while they do it. I have circled it on letter and put already paid - told him to show them the letter and if necessary my note to him to go in again on Friday - inconveniece. and Get their act together

We will be phoning on Monday to get copy PPI Agreement and I will give them a blast for deducting £5 - and tell them to read request documents properly - noting I have paid £5 and insist on an apology to my Friend for removing extra £5 and any charges that have occured.
• Good morning everyone! I'm hoping someone can help... I have a capital one credit card that I applied for in 2000 and have been charged for numerous over limit charges and missed payment charges which I have downloaded a template letter from here to claim back but I am now questioning whether I took out PPI too. I am quite sure I did but can I ask for this info at the same time as requesting a list of charges or do I have to request it separately? Ie do I need to send one letter with a £10 cheque or two?! I would really appreciate your help as I am a bit clueless on the whole thing to be honest! Many thanks in advance.

Please forgive my ignorance, but how do I know if I have/had PPI? We used to have a Natwest Access card and now have a M&S Chargecard. Do I contact Natwest and/or M&S Money in the first instance?

Just to let you know, today I have received a letter from Lloyds to say that they will pay me for the 5 loans I have had with them where PPi was added. the total is £9,557.90, which is a great result.
My story is:
Late October put in a claim for mis sell on two credit cards (am civil servant, didnt ask for it etc) via email and added that I would like them to consider any and all loans I had had with them.
letter received a few days later, saying had PPi on one card but not the other and also listed five loans, had no idea what these loans were or when (just cant remember).
Just before christmas had a letter stating they will pay me for the credit card, and letter today stating payment for loans.
Successes so far:
Bank charges = £300
Credit Card = £538
Loans = £9557.90

Barclaycard = £5884.17
All of this came about because I fell off my horse and dislocated my ankle and had to spend days at home sitting about with nothing to do!!
Best Break I ever had lol!!!
Am very happy and all of this has cost less than £5 in stamps, Huge thank you to this site and especially Beamerguy and Cappo. Going to have a night at the dogs to celebrate.:T:T:T

Hi downsman sounds like a silly question but do you have any paperwork? i've found myself asking the banks gets you a resounding no whether you had ppi or not.
