Hi am sure that Tiggrae will be back on later to advise. In the meantime ask them for a breakdown of how they sorted this out.
In my experience one of the lenders messed me about a lot whilst the others paid up within the six weeks and gave a good description of how the figures were worked out.
You just have to keep on to them.:D
Yeah I know, they aint gonna give up their money without a fight are they0 -

No you are right there. Anyway keep an eye on here cause tiggrae may have other tips or ideas. I know she rings them I believe daily (or was it weekly) being very charming but just nagging basically until she receives her money for her clients.:mad:0 -
Hi folks,
Good news - I received my cheques from First Plus over the weekend :j
So - I just need to clarify a couple of things! I posted on here a few weeks ago when I got the decision from the FOS and from what I could gather I was getting a cheque from FP for around £1500 which I was really happy with. However now I have received the letter from FP with the cheques I am confused. I THINK it is even better news as it looks like I am getting a FULL refund of the PPI to my loan account PLUS the cheques which are the difference in payments plus the 8% interest on payments? However I don't want to get too excited which is why I am posting on here again to check! So here goes:
A full refund of the insurance premium of £4,163.30 has been applied to your account along with the interest accrued on the premium to date of £1,147.04.
To clarify the redress as laid out in Mr Hammond's letter:
a)
Interest accrued to date (loan advance & PPI premium) = £5,830.74
Interest accrued to date on loan advance only = £4,683.70
Difference = £1,147.04
PPI Premium = £4,163.30
Total applied to reduce loan balance = £5,310.34
b)
Total repayments made to date (loan advance & PPI premium) = £7,525.00
Total repayments made to date on loan advance only = £6,044.66
Difference in payments (being returned to you = £1480.34
c)
8% interest on payments from date payments made to date redress paid = £151.44
So, basically I have had 2 cheques from them, one for £1,480.34 and one for £151.44. However if I am reading this correctly (not sure if I am) they are also reducing my loan balance by £5,310.34????????? So in total I have reclaimed £6907.78???
Can someone please clarify before I start jumping up and down!0 -

I have made a PPI claim from Lloyds and had to go thru FOS to get it. Last week they agreed to settle the claim..
PPI was £63.84 and its been running since Jan 2004.
Today they have paid £1058.01 into my account.
Could this be the full settlement because we were expecting far more?
I think this maybe the interest payment +8% +£200 compensation they said they would pay.
Has anyone claimed from Lloyds and had it paid in 2 payments.. ie 1 for interest and 1 for the premiums?
Does everyone get all the premiums back or does it depend on the wording of the settlement cos to be honest it may as well be written in chinese..
So many questions, sorry
Morning all,
Its looking like I have been paid my interest plus compo as a cash sum into my bank account and the PPI premiums owed have been used to clear off some of the existing loan. Do we not get a choice as to how we are paid or is it at the discretion of the bank?0
