I wrote to Natwest about payment protection on my credit card (which I thought was part of the card as I have had this since I got the card way back in 1997!) The balance has gone up and down over the years so I have no idea what, if any will be forthcoming.
However my question is what is the usual response time? I sent my recorded delivery which arrived on the 17th March. Is it the 8 weeks? When should I think about contacting them to chase/send the next letter?

    Thanks

    Stan

    Hi there Stan.

Yes its 8 weeks in full.
However, if the 8 weeks have passed by and you still not heard, you should be entitled to take this to the Financial ombudsman service despite not receiving a response from them, give us a shout for more help in this matter if required, and good luck.;)

    Hi all

quick question about FSA (Finance and Leasing Association) I am going to have to take my case against GE further as they really are a nightmare! Quick recap so you guys can tell me if you think that I am doing the right thing:

I opened an account in August 2003 with Creation Finance and insurance cover added (although I was not eligible as a student and no job), in September 2004 this account was then passed to GE Money who subsiquently added account cover to my account but never sent any paper work to me regarding their insurance. Creation Finance are now refunding me the premium I paid with them during that short time but what I really need/want back is the premiums paid to GE Money as this should never have been added. GE are saying that they cant check if I was sent documents or not but they have still (5 months after my original request) been unable to find my Credit agreement from creation and any documents at all to prove what I requested with regards to PPI......any help greatfully sought :-) before I blow my top xxxx
    DFD - April 2011 - come on!!:T

    Hiya hunni,

    Hope your well.;)

If within the last 6 years, where as from 2003 -to now they should have kept all records of this, I would be inclined to ring the Information Commissioners Office hun (ICO), see if they can help and see what they say about this.

Have you already requested a SAR (Subject Access Request)?
With this they "should" send everything they have on you on your account(s), I do hope this gets sorted out soon and can understand how frustrating this is for you, here are the ICO details hun, good luck and let us know how you get on.;)

    Hi hunni
    I'm fine thank you.:D ;) .

Wow well done to you, Congratulations on GE :T  :T , great work hun and yes keep them going.:T

With a SAR they must supply the info by law within 40 days of request, and of course you are paying for this, if they do not comply the ICO will help you through this.
There is a SAR template letter on the thread.;)
Keep at them and carry on with the good work.:T :A ;)
