Ok, I'm guesing I have to claim back from every card and loan seperatley?

If with different banks yes and credit card is slightly different to loans but it is easy using the questionnaire and it just costs you the price of recorded delivery.
If you have account numbers that is all you need, if you don't have details you can get them from the banks in question :)

Hello All, I've again this evening received another call explaining how I'm entitled to claim back PPI. On this occasion I've listened to the pleasant gentleman on the other end of the phone and came away feeling a little up beat. I've had 2 loans in the last 10 years loads of credit cards and countless bank charges!! The guy calling then went on to tell I'm entitled to quite a bit of money back as I may of been wrongly sold PPI. The company he works for would like to charge me £250 if I went ahead with my claim and take 25% of a succesfull claim.
    What should I do??

Do what dilus suggests and hang up,save your money and diy i have used a cmc and there rubbish mate

HAHA, no wonder he was nice, after £250 with no guarantees and if they did get your money, they charge you 25% ?????

HOW WOULD HE KNOW YOU WERE ENTITLED TO QUITE A BIT OF MONEY ?

This is a LEECH company preying upon you. Anything they can do, trust me, on this forum, WE CAN DO BETTER --- FOR FREE

    THE QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF:
    1: WHO ARE THEY
2: HOW DID THEY GET YOUR NUMBER
3: HOW DID THEY KNOW YOU WERE ENTITLED TO A LOT OF MONEY ?

These companies have appeared on "BBC RIP OFF BRITAIN" and the FSA have taken many licences away from such companies

AVOID THEM ---- THEY ARE LEECHES

WATCH AND REMEMBER -- Anything THEY can do YOU can do better -- AND FOR FREE

You are about to watch that "very nice man" ?

And watch in the background the staff from greedy claims companies, they are in black

They should give all info that they hold on you, some dont, wait until you get the info and see what they come back with, this can take up to 40 days, dont know how this will affect your win,you may want to send in copies of your statements and get the ball rolling with the ones you have.
Give them a ring and ask what info you can expect in the SAR,do not ask for statements on the phone! they will charge you for each one, give them a ring and let me know how you get on.

Good advice Barclays are playing tough at the moment but I have had a good phone call with FOS and it seems that they are aware of this blatant disregard to customer rights..............will keep you informed

YES follow the advice from dilus..............and if its any help your credit card number will be the account number for all credit cards

  • Dear all...I have finally received the redress from Barclays bank. I was told there was a delay and that it could take weeks, but after waiting for nearly 3 months, I have my money. Please be aware that we have to pay income tax over the interest they paid on top of the PPI redress!!!

Hi and well done. Yes we all know the taxman wants his share of the banking fraud that has been going on but ..... it cost you time and money to get this result so you claim this back from the taxman

Finally got my offer from Barclaycard last night when I got home. About time as it has been going on since June. Thanks so much for everyone who posted on this subject and to those that advised me. It really is worth sticking with it. Don't give up!
    Growing old disgracefully!
