guys, someone was talking about this on another thread a wee while ago to say they had heard this is happening, and seemingly FOS wont support it either, but going back a few years ago it was the norm to have the boxes pre-ticked and if you didn't want the ppi you had to untick the box, rather than ticking the box to say you wanted it. I think finding posts from people who have successfully complained about the pre ticked boxes. When I took out my Barclaycard, I went through I think three times of offering the ppi, and as i'm a civil servant delcined them all, but another screen would pop up saying are you sure, then are you really really sure etc. I think at this point if I had chosen it, there's no way they would pay out, but I don't know what it was like before this.

Lisa, is it YB thats refusing to pay out?

Yes although still waiting for official letter to come they phoned me today saying they couldn't locate the paperwork.

Post no 24405 on this page was one colleague, another one I already completed a letter for her changing what you and cappo had given me previously and asking them to reconsider and the third is bringing me her letter in on Monday
    Lisa

OK, i cannot help but feel this is one of those cases of chinese whispers saying the banks are rejecting and the FOS also.

This would be head line news but there is nothing about it.
  • Does anyone know who to make a claim against for First National Motor Finance and an address please

    Thanks
    Lisa

When were the loans taken out and do they still appear on your credit report,I think Dizzy Di done this or heardabout someone who done this. If it's on your credit report you can contact them and contest the entry, they then contact the lender, and low and behold when the agreement is disputed they come up with paperwork either that or contact the email addresses i've given you before, or if you need them again, just ask.:D
Thanks to all the competition posters.

    Hi
No they don't appear on my credit report they were paid off in 1998 and 2001 although I have my statements still but not for when the money went in lol. I am cross as I said they appear on my SAR and the teller gave me the numbers over the counter, so they were on her screen but they cant locate the paperwork!

Whilst I agree that VIRGIN should get a stake in the banking market, it is so sad that George Osborne readily throws away, somewhere between £400m and £650m of taxpayers money

Is this government forgetting the millions of people facing the bread line in this country and more importantly, he has forgotten they are voters and will not forget the next time they have to tick a box on a election paper ?

Cameron is becoming like Thatcher and she was booted out ?

Let's hope as Osborne suggests, VIRGIN, do loan money to businesses and families but the question is, WHERE WILL VIRGIN GET ALL THE MONEY FROM ?
