It said to sign and return the form which they forgot to enclose, I rang to request another form and during our conversation the lady mentioned that I have a balance of £70. As far as I was aware this account was cleared and closed as Capital One offered me a settlement as my debt situation was very bad can they now decide to take back the amount that they wrote off? Even though I have a letter saying the balance has been cleared?
Thanks for your help in advance
Hi mummy nope if you have a letter in your possession stating that the debt is settled and closed they should not touch the money if they do touch it threaten them with the fsa.0 -
These banks don't even have the courtesy to reply to emails asking for payment timescales now, how ignorant and disrespectful to customers is that, i've sent two emails to yes you've guessed it LTSB to try to find out when i'll get my money and another follow up when i did'nt hear anything, haven't got a fig out of them incommunicado what a joke0

Thank you both I have a letter which says "We can offer you a settlement figure on your outstanding balance. That means you only have to pay £98.07 to clear this account with us" I also have a printed receipt of my payment for £98.07 hopefully this will be enough
Why can't it just be simple :j0 -

Hi,
I got a credit card from barclays in 2007 and automatically i had this PPI on my account not knowing. Every month i paid off the minimum balance and over the months i then realised that i was over my £500 limit so i got charged extra and barclays would ring me and demand me to pay off lump sum to get me back to my limit.
I then realised it was due to the PPI, i still have the PPI and credit card account.
Will i be able to reclaim the bank charges and PPI? This has also affected my credit rating so could anything be done with that?
Cheers thank you in advance for your help guys

Hi all,
I have just telephoned British credit trust to see how my claim is progressing. They said a final response has been drafted and sent to the manager for checking. I am wondering if this means they are upholding my complaint or is is normal procedure to sent all final responses to the manger first. i asked if they could tell me the decision over the phone but the woman i spoke to said that she could not access that information.

Hi kiz if you went over your credit limit by having the ppi, yes i would put in a claim for associated charges as well.0 -
I watched all 2 1/2 hrs of James Murdoch with the Parliamentary Commission.
Whilst like all of us think, the phone hacking scandal is terrible, I cannot help but think this is now a witch hunt.
The MP with the loudess voice is Labour's Tom Watson. He does not mince his words and accused Murdoch of operating like the m a f i a

The Parliamentary Commission. should grill the CEO's of the bank and ask them all about the fraud of the PPI scam. Tom Watson would be perfect. so here is how you contact him
