    hello

i sent Black Horse my claim letter and they obviously rejected it. I then sent my second letter but have not had a reply.

I decided to send them the letter again with a cover note but again no reply.

Its been about 12 weeks since i sent the 2nd reply.

the letter i did have said they didnt think i was misold ppi and that i couldnt go to the FOS as they werent regulated by them at the time.

Will I ever hear from them again and what do you think my next step is?

    much appreciated

    Hi there

You could try giving a ring to the FOS anyway and they will possibly suggest the underwriter/insurer of the policy, as they would have been regulated.

So as you are aware, the FOS are unable to adjudicate complaints if they were not regulated, but many have been in the same situation as yourself where they have suggested that you try getting hold of the details from the lender of the underwriter/insurer (same thing), and pursue these, if this fails then the FOS will take it on and check the relationship to the lender to the underwriter/insurer and the involvement of the ppi of when it was sold to you.

Hope this helps, good luck and please keep us posted, cheers.;)

hi please can someone help i am dealing with all loans that we have had with ppi and one we have is a store card via kwik fit which ws origianlly run by ge money and now we deal with santander i issued a letter to them dated the 18/10/2011 and have received a response today from their complaints team advising they have looked at it and have advised that because the box was signed we agreed to this and because since 2001 the insurance has been shown on our statements and we could have cancelled at any point because it was optional and we had 28 days after the signatory to cancel we were not made aware of this at any point by sales rep in kwik fit . the policy apparently was upgraded in december 2001 which was not what we did it was done by the company itself and so they have advised no evidence of mis-selling.they have advised us to forward our complaint to the fla. plezse can someone advise where we go or whatwe can do next because this ppi company have had 10 years of our money for something we did not ask for or was made aware of

    Hi there

Either write back and ask them to reconsider, because sometimes they will even change a final decision made, within good reasons.

Tell them your not happy and are asking if they will take another look, because even if it was signed its was only because you were informed it was not an option.
Try giving them as many details as possible, and ask if they can let you know by 14 days, if this fails again of if you hear nothing then contact the FOS.

Did the letter say if you were eligible to complain to the FOS or not?

Even if your not eligible such as for exmaple if the business were not regulated at the time you taken out the policy, the FOS may suggest to go the underwriter/insurer direction as another avenue, as they have done with others in the same position.

    Keep at them, good luck.:)

HEY BLAKEY, still on the buses ??? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well Blackhorse would say that .... a Lloyds bank misfit. Anyways, point is with a PPI is this, was it fit for the purpose it was sold for ???

Check out the PPI, would it have covered you ???

If not and you were misled, then you were mis-sold. That also means FRAUD

The £12 charges were for monthly default payments, is that right ?

If so, it's dead simple, ask them for a breakdown of the charges, in other words their calculations on how they arrived at a £12 fee. They won't answer because they can't.
    REPLY:
If you cannot give me full breakdown, then I consider the charges to be unfair and unlawful, so please refund immediately

    thanks that's very helpful:beer:

Santander rejected by them 11/11/11, counter rejected by me 17/11/11. x2 letters advising they need another 4 weeks and then another rejection:rotfl:

  • Hi does anyone know if halifax are front loaded regarding ppi, I had 1 loand which was for £12,000 I had to pay £293 per month total payback over the term which I think was 60 months was £17750 after 1 year I refinanaced with tesco and had to take a £15000 loan from them, does it make sense that I would have paid probably £1800 off the ppi for the loan in that first year total amount paid was just under £2500. Why do banks make you pau so much at the start of your term
  • I will be sending the forms off to barclycard. I have one of their cards since 2000 and it has a monthly charge of ppi. I have no need for ppi because i'm fully covered through work NHS and have other insurances in place. I would be grateful for any help with the wording of my claim,
knowing that this will be a tough battle THANK'S:beer:

Hi mark chances are that anything before 2007 would have been frontloaded anything after, some and some although i think most banks had stopped frontloading loans by then ,the second part of your question mate is pure greed on the banks part, hope this helps.
