I wonder if someone could help me. I have been checking some old bank statements from 2000/2001 and came across some entries for "Lloyds Bowmaker" approx £220 each payment. It looks like an old loan, but I can't remeber the details. I am assuming this was from an old loan with Lloyds, but I do not have an account number. Could I send an SAR to Lloyds with the dates of the payments and amounts, with the old address details and hope that they can provide the details?

Simularly I came accross payments under ALPF Ltd. I remember having a loan with Alliance & Leicester and I have finally found bank statement entries (ALPF Ltd) but again I have no account number. Would Alliance & Leicester Personal Finance Ltd come under Santandar now?

    thanks for any help

Hi and welcome to the forum, first question, yes i had LTSB trace my old accounts through my address without any account numbers back to 1995 and 2nd question as far as i know yes it is now santander. good luck

Hi, I havent posted on here before so bear with me. I wrote off to Halifax about PPI and got a letter 30th August stating my claim has been successful and gave me an offer and my PPI amount, plus interest and addition 8% interest, but didnt state a specific figure. I accepted this offer straight away and they said they would do the sums and send a cheque on. I am still waiting to hear back from them. I have chased them up every couple of weeks. I was wondering if there were any guidelines on how long this should take or if anyone has had any experience with Halifax?? Thanks

Hi ang welcome to the forum, nice to have you on board, as far as i know most of the banks are sending upholds out quoting timescales of payment at up to 8 weeks at the moment but it does vary between banks.

Hi and welcome and well done on your success!

They should send you a detailed written breakdown on request, but as its upheld this means you get all your ppi back and as your post stated the relevant interest etc.
I know it would be nice for you to know though, so have you any details of the loan on any paperwork?
Maybe one of the calculations folks on here will be able to check them out for you and tell you what to expect back.

Currently, its difficult to predict a timescale due to backlogs, as many have been waiting and waiting for some-time, hopefully though they will move on quicker now with a bit of luck.
Give them a call now and then to chase it up, no harm in doing so, good luck.;)

Thanks, When I chased it up last week i was told it was an oldish complaint based on time scale so it should be dealt with soon. I have noticed though people have been posting their successes on here and these have been dealt with quicker than mine. Should I just continue to chase over the phone week by week??

    Thanks Di,
I have all of the original paperwork so I have the details of what i paid and what the initial PPI was that was added to the loan. If someone on here could help with calculations id be grateful :)
Its frustrating waiting for them to do the sums, but i will keep chasing them.
    Thanks
