    Hi there!
After yet another letter offering to help me reclaim any PPI i may have paid (for a 25%+ fee), i have decided to take the bull by the horns and try to do it myself.

I have had a credit card with Lloyds TSB since around 1999,and have always paid PPI, and still do!
In this term i have been employed, left work to have my daughter, unemployed, full time student and now back in employment.
I am unsure of the terms and conditions of the original agreement and have downloaded the template letter to request this from the bank.
I am also a little unusure of the grounds i will use to prove i was misold the policy, although, i think i was told it would help my application for the credit card.
The first letter will be in the post tomorrow, so fingers crossed!

Lloyds Banking group has caused far too many people so much grief,. they can never be trusted again.
    Dodd says
"We're actually going to have qualified complaints handlers. One of the things I've been looking at when somebody complains is the interaction they have with our staff." << BIT LATE IN THE DAY MARTIN

Is it going to be this year, next year or when ?
Are you going to sack the plebs you have at the moment including the so called "managers" all sitting in one office in Birmingham OR .... are you going have REAL managers, people who can be face to face within branches ??

    DODD SAYS
"He also acknowledges the huge mistakes the bank made for its role in the mis-selling of payment protection insurance (PPI)"

HE MEANS FRAUD ... SURELY ?

If he admits it, stop fobbing people off and REPAY THE MONEY

    NO REPAY = NO CREDIBILITY

hi, see my post about Martin Dodd, this is the man who says he will save Lloyds Bank, OH !!! IF LLOYDS GAVE YOU THE IMPRESSION YOU COULD ONLY GET A CARD IF YOU TOOK OUT A PPI, THEY LIED.
THIS WAS A SALESMAN EARNING HIS COMMISSION
and grounds for you to get a full refund plus interest

    It's never too late jamanda

I have been dealing with a different company and am still trying to prevent myself from completely jumping around the world as we still have 2 days before the cheque hopefully clears, after 2 years and 3 months since the initial claim was started (sorry, this is not being very positive :() but if I can do it, anyone can do it!! go for it and all the best to you :j

Extract taken from LATEST MSE NEWS (over on the right) Lloyds Banking Group "We can be one of the best for service"

Question How do scandals like PPI mis-selling help you focus because that's really bringing home that some bad things happened, and Lloyds has said itself it's sorry.

Answer PPI is not great. Full stop. We got to a stage, we've come out, we've made our commitment and we're now dealing with the complaints.

What you've got to do is learn from anything like that. You've got to be constantly looking at how we are working with our customers, how we are serving our customers, how we are designing products so as an industry we never end up in the situation that we're in today with PPI.

Never mind dealing with complaints, pay people back THEIR money and stop stalling :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

"You've got to be constantly looking at how we are working with our customers," ...........stop looking start working with your customers............I agree with you dilus this is a ploy by the minions of a large conglomerate to buy time and keep favour with the government, when quite frankly a simple positive statement ...such as we made a mistake and all our efforts will now be focused on correcting and clearing any backlogs. Then we can move on and learn from our mistakes so we can provide better and quality products for our valued customers........i think these guys can learn a great deal from Santander

Santander seem to be the exception to the rule, they have inherited a big mess and seem to be the only ones to put their hands up and put the customer first, something I don't think they had to do as I don't think they came under the regulations at the time PPI was being peddled. Hats off to them :T
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)

Suggest you remind Barclays of this

Barclays promising 'no quibble' PPI payouts
Barclays customers whose complaints were put on hold during the Judicial Review will now see their claims resolved and paid out in full as a "gesture of goodwill without any admission of liability".
