    I have stopped thinking about when Halifax are going to pay out. At least i know it is upheld and I suppose thats all that matters. the money will come when they are good and ready and like others I am not prepared to be in phone queue for 20 mins or more especially when i am trying to work as well.

    C.x

    Cheers honey:beer:

    The business said I should receive the payments into my bank account within 28 days, so I will keep a check just in case.;)

    All the best on receiving your money too honey xx:beer:

    Just to update you on a recent win of mine.....

    Hamilton/Endeavour now known as HFC.

    The amounts refunded will be:
    £2619 for PPI & Interest
    £250 for further compo for the Distress and Inconvenience.
    (discreetly by the business, for the wrong information given since 2008).

    Total = £2869

    Well chuffed, thank you all for giving me the strength to carry on with this since 2008, Marshallka you encouraged me from the start back then.
    Cheers all xxxxxxx

    Well done Dizzy Di!!:T

    Out of interest how hard are HFC to handle? OH has gotten hold of old account numbers for a 15k loan that was settled in 06, which had PPI attached. Not sure where to go from here with them.

    Thanks MB :) hubby had a credit charge card (GE Money) going back to 1998...balance of £1700..£15.00 PPI going on every month til we paid it of in 2008!!!! We only realized when shredding old things 2 months ago :(:(. Wrote to Santander..their response was that because it was so long ago they did not know how the PPI was sold therfore they can not do anything - :mad: Final Response :mad:! I wrote & told them how it was taken, didnt know he had it, ect (which terribly was the truth i am ashamed to say)..but still they will not budge, so while on to the FOS regarding something else, i asked him how to go forth with this :) ...he replied by saying my OH could ring Santander & find out who the underwriter is, and take the complaint to them...so here we are..:o:o

    Any one have any advice with regards to these kind of things....:cool::cool:xx

    Thank you too xx:beer::A

    Well this time round not too bad, but take into account the original complaint has been going on since 2008, they denied liability and its been with the FOS, the FOS would not adjudicate, and could not adjudicate against the broker either because they dissolved and were not regulated when i taken out the loan, so it was going to be dealt with by the underwriter Hamilton.
    This taken ages at this particular stage.
    But we have kept on and on that it was the broker that sold the loan and later on HFC then Endeavour added the ppi, as shown on the proof provided.

    I found more details and sent proof of to HFC and they only just recently confirmed they made a mistake of saying if was the broker, they apologised and upheld our complaint due to misleading advice since 2008.

    But as the FOS continued to investigate against the underwriter/insurer Hamilton, I decided to carry on myself as well and send all evidence i found to HFC.

    So since I had done this, its taken about 2-3 weeks to date.;)
