Have you got a complaint registered or acknowledged with them at the moment or are you trying to lodge a complaint of mis-selling with them?

Hi Smitchy- I complained twice through the online complaints procedure and have the automatic acknowledgement for one. Stupidly must have deleted the other email :( I also wrote to them and sent the questionnaire. Again stupidly didn't send recorded delivery although I do have copies.

I have received nothing other than the automatic notices. I'd like to email someone there directly and think I've seen the CEO? email on the forum somewhere but I can't find it.

Well had another good dig out last night and found some more paperwork, woohoo. Hit a stumbling block after my SAR to RBS in regards to a CC I had with them, they had written to me and said they could find no records for me having a CC, but if I could write to them with a card number they would investigate, so needless to say last night I found an old diary from when I was a sad early twenties geek where I had written down the card numbers of my cards next to my card protection phone number so that I had them to hand if my wallett was stolen...result. Letter away for details of my CC account, also have payment dates for CC's and amount's paid to pay it off in full, just need to find out if the ppi was on it.
    Next
I currently have 5 loan ppi complaints in with RBS, and before these loans I had two others, the first was for £500 and I thought no way would there be ppi on it due to the amounts of the payments etc, but low and behold stuck in a corner of a folder I found the agreement and yes you've guessed it, PPI of £46, the loan was over 12 months and the monthly ppi amounts were £4.26, so I've filled in the form and ready to send in the morning, hehehe. This is from 1995 by the way.
Lastly, whilst going through some other paperwork the other day found a secured loan with Halifax, and there was some loan protection(as if the house wasn't enough) it works out about £16 a month, regular premium compared to a single premium upfront policy. Have done the form and ready to go tomorrow.
As for the others I have already in are:-
2 x Clydesdale Loan PPI - Success - Money banked and £5k CC bill paid off with it.
5 x RBS Loan PPI - Decision due mid October
1 x Bank Of Scotland CC - Decision due end of October
Thanks to all the competition posters.
  • HSBC made me an offer for PPI on a personal loan that was rolled in to another. Both had PPI on them and the offer is for the PPI only (on both loans). I read the FSA guidance and expected HSBC to factor in PPI amount from the first loan that rolled in to the second? But I haven't got any paperwork about the settlement figure which was £19,000 (for a £15,000 loan!). Would this sar thing help? The settlement happened more than 6 years ago?
Any advice would be much appreciated! These threads are a bit confusing - let me know if I should be putting this somewhere else?
    Cheers!

Mine isn't as easy as everybody elses looks, just my luck though. I had PPI through car company, i wrote to them with my questionaire filled in, had letter back, saying they are looking into it, and will get back intouch with me by the 15th August. Well todays post has been and gone, and i've not heard anything from them.
Can someone please tell me what if any my next step is, if any.

    Many thanks for any help

    Hiya

    I would contact them.

You can put in the name of the company if you want to, as others may have dealt with them, or contact the FOS and tell them your still waiting for a response, the timescale passed, and ask if they will write to chase this up for you on your behalf, they should not ignore the FOS.
    Good luck.;)
