PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi,
Can anybody give me some advice please?
i have been awarded a settlement from llyodstsb but the thing is that they are now dragging their heels in paying out, im sick of being fobbed off with "another five working days", i have lodged two official complaints with them now because they are still continuing to contradict themselves with conflicting infomation (which is why they are in this situation with reclaims in the first place)!!!!, is there anything else i can say to them instead of being fobbed off again? just wondering if anyone else has or are still in the same situation with Llyodstsb.
Many Thanks
kerry
Hi kerry they paid my one loan misold out quickly have had a lot of trouble re credit cards with them, i've been trying to get statements and account numbers out of them since may had to sar them in the end, which i'm going to pick up friday as to your problem tell them if the problem persists you will contact the fsa and report them for non-compliance with fsa payout directives they will not want the fsa sniffing around in there back yard, good luck failing that email the ceo

HSBC are getting to be quite well known for this, this is what you do contact them tell them you have spoken to the fos and they say that the bank can use estimated premiums on the previous years they claim they have no record of and based on the average years premiums that you have paid, let us know how you get on, as for the other your always best to go for misold rather than let the banks take off the ppi for you as this will nearly always mean the loan is extended/interest /apr raised etc, not fair but this nearly always happens.
Hi Cappo,
Thanks for your response to my previous question. I have contacted HSBC and did as you suggested, asked them to base previous PPI on averages years they do have. I'm still waiting for a response.
I've now had an offer for the PPI premiums I paid on my personal loan. As I mentioned they increased the interest I was paying when I cancelled the PPI in 2008. I have all the paperwork for this loan and paid £350 PPI for the time I had the insurance. They are offering £797 plus £196 interest, so a total of £963. I'm surprised by this as it is more than I paid/expected. Do you think it could be anything to do with the increased interest I have been paying since 2008? I did mention this in my original complaint, although it is not mentioned in their response. Just wondering what yours or anybody else's opinion is on this. I'm thinking I should accept the offer as it is more than I expected, but am curious as to why they are offering more. I do think the increased interest is incredibly unfair and I'm still paying it.

Hi,
I'm sure you've had this asked countless times before but I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I have had 10+ loans since 2004 which have mostly now been settled. I do not have any paperwork for these loans but I'm pretty sure that the majority of them had PPI on them when they were taken out. Do I still have to write to the bank using the template letter asking for a copy of my account or can I just fill in the PPI questionnaire for each loan and send that? I have all the account start/end dates from my credit report as well.

Hi ian as long as you've got the account numbers thats all you need i'd start by putting in a letter of complaint or you could ring the bank if you wish as sometimes they will do it over the phone, wait for a confirmation, the bank will then tell you there procedure for instance i had 5 consolidated loans with the same lender i've just won and they wanted me to fill in a complaint questionaire for each one, sometimes the bank if your misold reasons are the same for all your loans will let you fill in just one.0 -

Hi raquel yes this will have something to do with the extra interest your paying i'm sure, yes if your happy to accept do so, hope you get on ok with the bank, this is a fos directive with the estimated years premiums if it go's to the fos (lets hope not) thats what they'd make the bank do if upheld.0 -
