    :T:T:TWell done.
Give them a ring and see if this all the loans they have done or you are still owed one.

Hi there, you both need to put the claim in ASAP,the total ppi, if you win, will be taken off the balance and if it is still being paid, the monthly payment will reduce by the ppi amount. you will both get back the ppi paid to date with interest, you could take this off the loan and further reducing it ,so this is good for both of you financially.Look here for reasons for mis sell

On a cautious note, get it in writing that you are both making this claim and how the refund will be used,he could get a cheque and pocket the whole lot.

Thanks Amersall, although I dont think a cheque will be sent as he has not paid the repayments for 10 months.... found that out today too....do you still think we 'd have a claim? The loan is in arrears abviously.

Hi, get a claim in and the win and total ppi will come off the loan, it doesnt matter if you have arrears,as i said the loan will reduce.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

    Hi there,what year was this?.
If it was post 2005,then give FSCS a ring and ask if you can claim through them.
If it was pre 2005,then ask what you can do regarding the insurer.
They may refer you to FOS.

I would refer them to the fsa handbook as the fsa don't accept banks interpretation of the so called 6 year rule, nor does the fos there take is on it and you can quote this to the bank is nearly all banks are looking at claims 10 years and over now, i'd go back to them and challenge this, if no joy take it straight to the fos as i'm sure they will have a different take on this

Put you are amazed at the response from FP as this was clearly mis sold, and could someone take a look at this.

    Thanks.

So should I just send Bob the letter I'm sending to FP, with a little addition to himself?
    Eg. Dear Sir,

In reference to policy number xxxxx

Please will you get somebody to look into our complaint. I am amazed at the response from FP as this was clearly mis sold.

    Followed by the letter.

Will this be enough, and I will put the policy number as the subject?
