Hi - we paid it off on the due date (thank goodness). Is this good news. My hubby is almost beside himself with excitement about it. Do you know if we will have to wait long for the money. Should I send a letter with the acceptance slip saying we expect to hear from them within so many days with a cheque or do you think I will be better to just wait. I am so pleased and hope everyone else has a similar result. Happy Friday to everyone.Did you pay the loan off early or on its due date. If on due date you will indeed get £3774.96 plus 8% which will be around £300 by the time you fet paid. If early then you will get back all the contributions you made to the ppi each month plus 8% on each contribution from the date it was paid until settlement less any refund you got off the early settlement.(if any)

You are going to have to wait a wee while. Reading my letter it says once the acceptence is recieved they will send another letter with the calculations. This letter will tell you when the payment is likely to be paid. Your calculation is easy but it may well get caught up in a que. It then may take some time for the payment to arrive.
Good news is £4000 cheque is owed.

wooa I have just had a thought you paid off the loan in full so my figures are correct. However looking through the scenarios from the halifax you will also get 8% on the ppi cash price. Your day is about to get better. When did the loan start I know it finished November 10.
Get back to me quick as £2914.99 x 8% = £233.20 x N =£x
£233.20 x N =£x N = the number of years you had the loan for.
Cheers Niggly:beer:
"I am the one that you want ooo honey" where are you. I am assuming that the term was 5 years so you will recieve another £1166 in interest. Yes add this on to the above interest which is just the interest from November to October 2011 (assumed settlement date)0 -
Read this guys, just another reason to diy your claim.

Hi there
A rebate is normally when they reduce the balance on settlement.
You don't see it like a refund, but they reduce the full amount owing, hope this makes sense x;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Gentleman i spoke to said i have submitted claim and you should hear back in 2-3 weeks...called today to see was there any progress ...advisor said could see claim on account and it was currently being investigated... Going back through paperwork turns out dec 2002 when took loan out wasnt even working hadnt worked for 6yrs previous to that started working for agency oct 2003, was single parent from jan 2002 wondering now why on earth they gave me loan of 7.5k and 1k credit card!!!
Anyway i can vaguely?? remember cancelling ppi when work contract ended and enquired re a claim and was told wasnt eligible...my question is if claim open and being investigated is this a sure sign ppi present or would this be the case regardless of whether ppi there or not advisor i spoke to today stated may be a delay over the 2-3weeks for everything to get worked out am assuming if im wrong and was never ppi there id have had notification by now lol sorry for ramblings think my claim pretty valid tho if on there if only had the confirmation arghh lol

They stated were willing to reopen case and further investigate if i filled in questionaire, i returned questionaire uncompleted with cover letter stating they held all this info already as was taken at the time policy was started (i have no idea if it was but feel it certainly should have been) am wary about furnishing them with all that info, income , outgoings, health etc feel like they trying to trip me up and gain info they should really have on their system anyway to validate selling of the policy. anyone had any success with these?
Wish you luck with this one as well.
I expect there have been reclaims against these, and hopefully the ones who have will post up of their own experience.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi Ginger
Thank you.:A
I am not too bad thank you, my mate's mother was wonderful, she will be sadly missed by loads of people, and I can understand how she feels, as I lost my lovely dad last year aged 69, he was also a remarkable man who have left a big hole in our lives.
Still he would want me to get on with it.:D;) I'm ok, thank you so much xx:A;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
