    Hi

I had my claim upheld by Black Horse a couple of weeks ago and received a letter with the offer that I had to return. Any idea how long it takes for the money to be paid back once they receive the letter saying I have accepted the offer?

    Thanks

    Hiya, well done :T & Congratulations!

This can vary form one bank to another, but normally I would say 21 or 28 days as from when they receive your signed acceptance, good luck.

I complained to HSBC about my mis-sold PP! back in May, got the usual letters about investigating my complaint, and then the "it'll take 16 weeks" letter. I rang HSBC about my complaint, just to check it's progress 3 weeks ago, and they told me my complaint had been upheld and they had passed it on to calculations, and I should hear from them in the next couple of weeks. When I hadn't received anything I rang them yesterday and was told a lot of claims had to be recalculated, due to them mis -calculating, and I would have to wait to the end of August/beginning of September, coincidently that's exactly 16 weeks from the beginning of my claim. Is this usual for the bank to play slow-ball or have they genuinely had to re-calculate lots of claims?

Hi i think theres probably a bit of fine tuning going on now as Di has said, will hopefully be worth the wait, good luck.

Cappo, ask them to send you a detailed breakdown - so they can make it more clear of what is what, or email the CEO.;)

Will do Di thanks for that.:) (this one is the one with the cmc so i have told them that i won't consider the offer unless it has the full interest at 8% on it,thats what i'm paying them for, last one with the cmc now,the rest are mine.

    Hi there

Sorry this was not responded to on the other thread.

What I think I would do is contact the CEO on this and tell them you believe there is a confusion on the accounts and enclose your account number you have and make them aware of the other account number, tell them its wrong that you have someone elses personal details and you will contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) to complain on this if this does not stop.

For more on the ICO (in case you want to contact them about this matter,:

    And details of Welcome CEO:

Thanks for the info, however the problem I have is I still need to figure out what to do about the useless PPI I had, and also repay them the remainder of the loan amount.

The details they have sent me relate to my loan (the figures and dates are correct) it's just the account number that is wrong.

I dont know what to do about it, do I reclaim PPI using the correct account number or the wrong one they quoted.

    Good Afternoon,

I'm after a little advice. My complaint about my Egg Loan has been sitting with the FOS since Oct 2010. Finally an adjudicator rang me and asked whether I remember how the PPI was sold to me (in 2007). It was a top up loan and I remember that I spoke to an Egg representative who was very polite and convincing and told me that I would have to have PPI for the top up to be approved. The adjudicator asked me to email him documents from my HR department to prove that I am entitled to full sick pay and redundancy (as I stated in my FOS questionnaire that I did and am still with the same employer). I got this sorted and emailed it over today. He also said that Egg did not have a recording of my conversation with the Sales Advisor. He sounded very vague and disillusioned and said that he would be making his decision in about a week.

I'm not sure what to make of this? Has anyone else had dealings with adjudicators? I'm all confused now.

I would pursue them and enclose a "copy" of your own paperwork, do not send anything original in case they accidentally on purpose lose it.
I would also make a point that you are making a reclaim on the PPI on the account number of XXXXXXXX and NOT in relation of the wrong account.

    Hi there

Sometimes this can be standard procedure for them to ring for further info and confirmation, try not to worry about this, the main of our cases with the FOS they have rang for us to send details to them, good luck.;)

  • I've completed covering letters and questionnaires and sent to Tesco and HSBC (loan and credit card), thanks to this site!

Now I'm onto Capital One and Halifax, is it better to email them (do I attach the FOS questionnaire?) or to write to them?

    Thanks!

Well done, great work and the best of luck.;)

In regards of Cap one and Halifax, if you email them make sure you ask them to confirm they received the complaints, you can attach to email if you want to.
What I did was in regards of lloyds was email my questionnaire by attachment but to be on the safe side send one by signed for delivery as well just to make sure it was received.:)
