Thank you Di and Amersall - I will contact the FSCS and check if they will handle this and if they won't I will contact the FOS about the original insurer, which I think is on another letter from Citroen.Hi there
Seems like you've been going round in circles, the FSCS are probably quicker than the FOS at the moment, if the company that are no longer active are already in default and are listed with the FSCS you can make a claim through these, they may take a few months, approx 3-6 months, yet again depending if they are already in default or waiting to be going into default with the FSCS.
I understand though that the FSCS will only deal with cases if the company were regulated at the time you taken out the account, so I would check on that one with the FSCS first.
If this fails, then contact the FOS and explain, and they may suggest the underwriter/insurer avenue as they have done with many of us in the same position.
Hope this helps, good luck.:)

Well my 16 weeks is up 2 weeks today.
Not heard anything as of yet, so hopefully no news is good news.
It is killing me not to pick up the phone and chase it, but I have told myself that the next call will be a week today :rotfl:I'm a secret crime fighter

Hey, I have a question.
I recieved a letter from HBOS this morning informing me I had PPI on my CC. Fact is, I had no idea! I got my credit card along with my student account. It was just send to me through the mail, nothing discussed other than 'do you want a CC with your new account?'.
Do I have a claim?
