Hi there
Yes please do request for a copy of the recordings, now that they have admitted listening to them they cannot say they have not got them, with FP it seems they give the same excuses to everyone.
You contact the FOS when your given the final response in letter from the loan company, do you have one from them at all with a final response?
Anyway you can either download a complaints form from the FOS or ring them here:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
They will arrange to send a form through the post and enclose copies of correspondence, I would also send a completed copy of the form to FP as well, and tell them you have now taken your complaint to the FOS and have enclosed a copy of the complaints form for their interest/records.
(it may make them change their minds, if this is the case let the FOS know) but as its FP its very unlikely.
Good luck with this and post anytime for help.;) Have sent you a private message as well x

Hi THere
No it has to say "this is our Final Respose". I would reply give them 14 days to reply and tell them that you are quite willing to pass this onto the FOS if you do not get the response you require
Am sure Di will be back later on:D:mad:0 -
hiya thanks for replying:)
ave read my letter again and all it says is " in my previous letter i promised you a full response to your complaint as quickly as I could. I am now able to do so."
its says nothing about final! so do i just sit and wait another 14 days or do I now need to send another letter (sorry for been dumb lol)
thanks so much.xxxx0 -

Hi hun
Yes write back to them and tell them you will appreciate it if they could reconsider you complaint (try to use stronger points to your reasons you added on your first letter to them if you can), and also tell them you look forward to a response by 14 days of this letter.
Then that one should be the final response, hope its a good outcome the next time round for you.
Keep us posted of this and if you can today, contact them and ask them to send you the recordings, or maybe write this in a separate letter.
Post again by recorded delivery.;) (oh your not dumb) lol XX
Good luck

Any thoughts on my case Turboman? I have sent off my second letter asking for an increase in their offer and a refund in full.
Cheers.
I mainly calculate precisely on CURRENT loans which are very predictable. Settled loans are harder to unravel owing to the lenders method of deriving their settlement figures ( & trying to dress them up with rhe word REBATE to try & convince you they are doing you a favour)
I can say that I've checked your latest offer re the 8% interest & that is correct-8% on 673.31 from actual date of each payment + 8% on 637.21 from 1/3/2006
We've just got to unravel the rebates (Marshallka-where are you!!)
Recheck your statements & the original settlement letter re the 18,680.79 Balance-I can't derive where that has come from?
I've got the 2445.77 interest rebate though from the Rule of 78 Calculator website (BUT using a loan of 18,009.54!!)
HOWEVER, don't forget that assuming all this rebate business is correct for the main 15,000 main loan and they have correctly adjusted the situation to be as if PPI had never been added--you can only get the refund on the PPI bit of WHAT YOU HAVE ACTUALLY PAID.aka Calculator
My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is.0
