I cannot put down my thoughts this morning about M & S Money!

Had 2 cases put on hold for JR.
They refused the store card/credit card on Wednesday saying not regulated at the time, non-advised sale etc. I have written to them about that one. They had fresh paperwork when it changed from store card to credit card. Obviously that doesn't count in their opinion.

This morning I received a letter regarding the loan taken out in 1999, placed on hold for JR, and this morning I get a letter saying they have now completed their investigation and they cannot find the relevant application form. As a result they cannot confirm if PPI was added. Do I have any paperwork to substantiate it?

Surely this didn't require putting on hold for JR as I complained in January. I do not think I have any paperwork, other than the last repayment advice.

The loan amount says it was £7802.46, total repayable £12008.54. I paid 60 months at £200.15.
As I paid £4205.98 on top of the loan does this sound a lot just for interest? I am sure I had PPI added.

Any mathematicians out there able to deduce if I may have paid PPI? Any help appreciated.
Hi there, it does seem to me that you paid ppi on this, dont know how to help you with paperwork as it is over 7 years ago, dont know if a SAR would help, the bank may just be saying they have no paperwork or they may have, but if you think it is worth a tenner to maybe get this info, then do that.

You could try the insurer route with this one,if the insurer says no,then FOS will look at this as the insurer may have been regulated.

    Hi All,
I have just recieved a reply from Burton with regards to the Account cover on my account. They have refused this as misselling they say that Payment protection was added on 5th March 1999 when I opened my account ....MMMMmmm strange as they also and sent a copy of the form I completed way back on 6th March 1999 (this a day AFTER I opened the account!!)
the form clearly shows "X" of places the sign with no details of my employment status detals as I rememebr it it was just a case of sign "here here and here"....

Also NEW Look have replied too ...they are not admitting liablity but are will to refund me 50% of what I have paid ..."the offer is stricly confidential....."
Any suggestions on how to take these forward????
With New Look, I would get back in touch with them and ask if they have not mis sold insurance why then have they offered you 50%, tell them you are considering taking this to FOS as you believe the offer is not good enough.

Regards the Burtons card, get back to them and ask why they have sales staff that "sell" cover with cards, when all they do is say, sign here please and do not even try to explain what the cover actually does.

    Hey you!:D

If there was not a final decision, then get writing to them again, they should enclose details of the FOS with the leaflet on how to complain.

But if you've already had details enclosed of the FOS, then you can either contact them and make the complaint over the phone, or download a complaint form and enclosed your copies of letters/evidence to them.

    Now does that help?:D:j;)

    Re: Bank Statement entry

Hoping one of you intelligent lot will be able to help me on this one - on an old bank statement I have the following entry:

    MLOAN LPOOL 990271 D/D
    ACCOUNT NO. 127xxxxxxxx etc.

This appears on a statement back from 1996. Does anyone of you recognise which company this loan is with?

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi there

And yes you are, there is a reclaim questionnaire to make a reclaim on the ppi, you use the same questionnaire as you do for loan ppi, just add your own details (Business loan PPI), this replaced the reclaim template letter.
Although the template letter on the first stages of Martin's guidelines is that of requesting for a copy of the credit agreement, this is not essential as such if you already have or know the details, of the account.

The reclaim questionnaire is here on step 3, good luck.
