Hi,

I'm just starting out on the road to claim back the PPI paid by my fiance on 2 loans that he had with Lloyds TSB started in 2004 and 2007. I am hoping to claim on the angle that my fiance was self employed at the time and that the PPI probably did not cover him in the eventuality that he went bust and it was therefore unnecessary. I have carried out the first step in order to get the paper work in order as he had not kept any of it. I ask for the credit agreements for the accounts and T&C and a break down of the accounts. I got all of this info for the 2007 account but only a copy of the credit agreement and account breakdown for the 2004 account. The documents do not say under what circumstances the PPI would pay out but only really refers to the loan (although the docs do confirm that PPI was taken out). How do I get this information as Lloyds state in there letter that they "will not be entering into any further correspondence...regarding the provision of copy agreements"? I do not want to go ahead and make a claim until I have the evidance to back it up as I want to be in the strongest possible position.

    Thanks for your help

As a newbie, I can't post links, but if you look at page 937 and post 18736, di3004 being the fab person she is gave me the link yesterday as I might need it too . But she did mention that you need to tweak it.

Read the rest of the posts below it as they offered some useful nuggets to put into it.

    Good luck :)

    you'll get there,:T keep persevering

try this,i'd sar them for the information, link above, send a £10.00 cheque or postal order and request using an account number for all your paperwork or if you are looking for a specific agreement you could cca them which will cost £1.00,stick with this and don't be put off under the data protection act the bank have to comply it's the law, good luck and keep us informed

    Hi Doz

The only other way is a SAR where they must comply by the DPA (Data protection Act), they have 40 calendar days to comply and you enclose £10 cheque or postal order for this request, there is a letter (SAR) template below link.
The credit agreements may actually appear within the SAR, its happened with mine, even though I did not receive the copies of the loan agreements from the very older accounts, the ones from about 2004 appeared within the SAR.

However, if you know the account numbers and know for definate PPI was added and of course reasons to make a reclaim (you have in your case) you can still continue to make a reclaim.

First of all, SAR template letter here.

If you also bank with these, you apply your bank account number and they should send copies of everything you've had, paperwork of the account, loans, credit cards and so on, so the one of payment as stated above is required (£10).

To make a reclaim there are reclaim questionnaires on the guidelines on this site, or if you go directly to Lloyds website, they have the same details there as well, with the address where to send and so on.

    Also email address if required.
    customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

    The best of luck.;)

    Hi there

    Was that a claims company?

If you have been mis sold PPI, then try to have a go yourself, you don't need a claims company, there is far too much paperwork involved, despite them asking questions on the phone, and its only a matter of completing a reclaim questionnaire, if your successful you will then get to keep all your refund, where claims companies will take their share.;)
