the mortgage ended 14 years ago is that not a problem .
Hi there
Not as far as I know, if you still have details that would be of some help, but I feel Dunstonh and/or MagpieCottage will be able to assist more on this one in regards of Mortgage PPI, so below is a new thread, its still within these reclaiming threads, but then it won't get missed.
Title it something like "Mortgage PPI help"
and I'm sure they will be along at some point today with some useful info for you. Good luck.

I cannot put down my thoughts this morning about M & S Money!
Had 2 cases put on hold for JR.
They refused the store card/credit card on Wednesday saying not regulated at the time, non-advised sale etc. I have written to them about that one. They had fresh paperwork when it changed from store card to credit card. Obviously that doesn't count in their opinion.
This morning I received a letter regarding the loan taken out in 1999, placed on hold for JR, and this morning I get a letter saying they have now completed their investigation and they cannot find the relevant application form. As a result they cannot confirm if PPI was added. Do I have any paperwork to substantiate it?
Surely this didn't require putting on hold for JR as I complained in January. I do not think I have any paperwork, other than the last repayment advice.
The loan amount says it was £7802.46, total repayable £12008.54. I paid 60 months at £200.15.
As I paid £4205.98 on top of the loan does this sound a lot just for interest? I am sure I had PPI added.
Any mathematicians out there able to deduce if I may have paid PPI? Any help appreciated.0 -
Sainsburys bank make it so difficult to reclaim ppi you have to give up and i know 2 other people that have had to give up on thousands.0

Hi All,
I have just recieved a reply from Burton with regards to the Account cover on my account. They have refused this as misselling they say that Payment protection was added on 5th March 1999 when I opened my account ....MMMMmmm strange as they also and sent a copy of the form I completed way back on 6th March 1999 (this a day AFTER I opened the account!!)
the form clearly shows "X" of places the sign with no details of my employment status detals as I rememebr it it was just a case of sign "here here and here"....
Also NEW Look have replied too ...they are not admitting liablity but are will to refund me 50% of what I have paid ..."the offer is stricly confidential....."
Any suggestions on how to take these forward????0 -
Thanks to the MSE and its users for such an informative site. Just recieved a confirmation letter from Halifax offering £2166 for a £10,000 loan that was repaid 2 years early.
Refund on premiums £1565
Refund of Interest @10% £367
Interest @8% £234
Total £2166ish
But the thing is i went over my overdraft a couple of times to pay the repayment which meant i was charged for going over. I dont think this cost is included in the offer. Any thoughts?
Cheers

Hiya
Blimey, so sorry to hear of the messing around with this company.
Good point made there though, they tell you after all this time!
This isn't on.
I would take this further with the CEO.
However, if the business were not regulated at the time, the FOS normally suggests pursuing the underwriter/insurer, the lender should have the booklet policy details on these, so its another direction to take on that one.
Right, we me with maths and workings outnot good, but hopefully someone will be along to check this out for you soon, maybe Marshallka can help on this part of it for you.;)

If they have not issued you with a final decision then write back and ask them to reconsider, try giving more information if you can.
In the final decision they should let you know if your able to complain to the FOS or not, have they done this? The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
