Be just as difficult yourself danny stick with us here and tell your friends, reclaiming is not hard it is very easy actually i was told by LTSB i did'nt have ppi on my credit card i know it's untrue i threatened to sar the bank for info and thats what i have done:)0 -
Have just posted my reply to the FLA (for what it's worth), but as it's me who sent the complaint to the underwriters not the FOS (they just supplied me with the details and notified them that I had a complaint), I think for the moment I will just let it sit as the likeyhood is I will recieve a no from the FLA, so at least my complaint will have been registered this week with the underwriter.
I am very much afraid patience is not one of my strong points lol
That's fine Lyn;)
At least if one fails you can try the other.
Good luck x:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi guys I've asked this before but I think it became lost in the fast moving thread!
does anyone know an email address for First Plus other than the customer care@firstplus?
I think they need a nudge :mad:0 -

Hi All,
I have just recieved a reply from Burton with regards to the Account cover on my account. They have refused this as misselling they say that Payment protection was added on 5th March 1999 when I opened my account ....MMMMmmm strange as they also and sent a copy of the form I completed way back on 6th March 1999 (this a day AFTER I opened the account!!)
the form clearly shows "X" of places the sign with no details of my employment status detals as I rememebr it it was just a case of sign "here here and here"....
Also NEW Look have replied too ...they are not admitting liablity but are will to refund me 50% of what I have paid ..."the offer is stricly confidential....."
Any suggestions on how to take these forward????
Hi gilman they'e admited liability by making an offer, stick with it.0 -

Hi William and well done on your success.
I am not sure about the overdraft issue though, so hopefully someone will be here soon with some advice on this.
But in my opinion this would be nothing to do with the overdraft, good luck.;)
I agree Di i think it would be a totally unrelated issue, you could try and put in to reclaim your overdraft charges, not very easy at the moment but it is still being done.0 -

Eight weeks since my complaint, three 'need more time' letters from Tescos, they come back to say they cannot trace my account!!! Even though I gave them the account number!! Complaint closed.
I don't think so, I have written back today enclosing some credit card statements and even their Welcome Letter dated 1999. More delaying tactics I feel.
My advice to all, photocopy and enclose as much info as you can with your initial complaint letter, so that they cannot delay the return of your money longer than necessary.
hi beverley this is almost certainly a delaying tactic,i've had the same with LTSB,told me no ppi on a credit card, we're closing the complaint if you can prove you had it we'll reopen the complaint after closing it without even a confirmation letter just an email well i wasnt b@~*y having that when i knew i had it even though it was 18 years ago so i've sarred them.0
