I would either email/write to them and threaten them with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) or in office hours next week if your SAR have not arrived by then contact the ICO anyway, tell them 6 weeks have gone and they cashed the payment, contact details below.

missterious wrote: »Hi all I am an avid follower - was wondering if at all possible if someone may be able to offer me such much needed guidance. Thanks to Martin and the fourm I have been instilled with the confidence to seek to reclaim my PPI from Bank of Scotland. This has however been an uphill struggle as my complaint was registered with them since Sept 2010 after being ignored by the banks I forwarded it to the financial ombudsman, both now say that they are working through the back log and will be in touch in due course. I have emailed the CEO and recieved another letter saying basically that these things take time -?? But how much time? I am quite anxious to get a result soon as I was actively cooerced into taking a product that I did not need and now feel that there should be some redress. I have been accepted to do a postgraduate course at university and this money may mean the difference from being able to attend or not! Is anyone one else dealing with the BOS and if so what stage and with what result? Many thanks x
Hi guy i've got 4 hsbc cases and 1 mbna case at the mo,havent heard a thing be patient missterious these cases arn't being sorted out quickly but they are being sorted out in date order after a fashion, you will get redress if missold, with the fos you're going to be waiting a long time is your case registered with the fos,can you or are you in a position with the fos to have your case fast tracked (health reasons or hardship reasons are commen)0 -

New to this thread. I first registered my complaint about Lloyds PPI in July 2008. I am still waiting. It seems that in April 2010 an adjudicator wrote to LLoyds saying they were upholding my claim. No response from them, so it had to go to the ombudsman but I'm still waiting. I get a letter from time to time saying they are very busy and that's it. I really need that money. my health not very good and I'm broke so it would be a huge weight off my mind to get it settled. My claim is for £2324.oo not including interest and the adjudicator recommende that Lloyds pay me an extra £200.00 compensation for stress and inconveneince! Ha! Ha1
forgive the blunt quick post,i'm trying to catch up today, contact the fos, tell them about your poor health, give reasons, a doctors letter would be helpfull ask for your case to be fast tracked0 -

CAPITAL ONE AGAIN
Just because you ticked the box means nothing. They are/were obliged to ensure that the PPI is right for you and your circumstances.
If you have the PPI policy, read it carefully to see if its applies to you 100%. It probably does not so tell them so.
If you were contacted by a salesman, mostly happens with Capital One,
did he ask about your circumstances, IE being employed, self employed etc etc. If none of this happened then you were not sold a policy, they just added it your card. Ask for a copy of the insurance as Capital One have a bad habit of only sending out the policy after you complain
As far as I can recall, I've never been contacted by them unless I've accidentally gone over my limit or had to activate a new card, which is the only opportunity I've had to refuse any additional services. I've always refused the additional ID theft protection. PPI to my knowledge has never come up.
Is there a limit to how long before I appeal/pursue?SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

I sent in the questionnaire, they replied sending me my original agreement from 2003 and I had not ticked the PPI box. They said I agreed to PPI when I reactivated my new card in 2005. I can't remember this ever happening or receiving the policy they said they sent to me. They also said they were unable to supply a transcript of the phone call which I requested.
I wrote to them today and the FOS as Cap One are saying that is their final decision.
I said that I did not agree to PPI when I applied for the card, cannot recall the phone call and never received or signed any agreement.
Just have to wait and see what happens
