Hi
Was it to the CEO you emailed, or the customer team?
I am surprised you haven't heard anything up to now if you emailed to the CEO.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Keep emailing them, tell them you've been waiting 5 days for a reply, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
this is the letter i recieved today off barclays ..............we are writing to update you following the recent letter we sent you acknowledging your ppi complaint.the purpose of this letter is to explain that it may take a little longer to respond to you and the date we previously gave you has changed .we will reply to your complaint no later than 30 august 2011.i realise this delay is disappointing.please accept my assurance we are doing everything we can to respond to your complaint as quickly as possible and that the outcome of your complaint will not be adversely affected by this delay.as we told you we would normally deal with your complaint within 8 weeks of recieving it however,we have a backlog of ppi complaints which we are urgently dealing with.the fsa has granted us a waiver to the time limits set out in their rules allowing us more time to deal with your complaint.depending on when we recieve a complaint, this can be up to 16 weeks.your complaint will be dealt with as soon as possibleand may take much less time than this.a copy of the fsaswaiver can be found on our website within the section what is happening now at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx................................................................my claim has been in 7 weeks on monday so i guess it shouldnt be much longer now and because of the length of time its already been in hopefully it has a good chance of being upheld HOPEFULLY lol
Hi Tony,
I received the exact same letter today with a no later date of 25th August and my complaint as been in 8 weeks so fingers crossed to us both.0 -
Another thing to remember apart from the fact that the claims are so easy to do yourself is the time factor 3 years ago i put claims in to a cmc and there still not completed,i do them myself now, much quicker, easier and i really think if you've been misold you make a recovery quicker.:rotfl: (romstits post, sorry clicked wrong one)
Have to agree, Cappo, I used a claims company for 2 claims...( I know, I know, dumb!):o but was terrified to take on the banks..
However, so far, all they have done is send me the forms to fill in!! When I ring to check on progress, someone ( who sounds about 12 years old, and clueless) answers the phone and gives a vague update.
If it were not for the penalty of getting rid of them, I would!
Money for nothing!! ( and still no success with them)
Rant over......:)0 -

Just thought you might be interested to know...the Clydesdale bank got some bad press yesterday..they levyed a charge of £50 to a long time customer ( 20 years)..who never had less than £1000 in his account!
The charge was for managing the account...seems daylight robbery is legal...? ( As long as you are a financial institution!):mad:0
