PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Despite Egg giving me my PPI cover back a month or so back, I got a letter from them saying I had the right to refer to the FOS as they 'couldn't settle my complaint'.
Crap day otherwise - panic attack, hospital and just decided that the stress of buying and selling a house is really not for me. Will lose a reservation fee for the new place (£500 - just less than what Egg refunded me  ), but I've been reminded by family and friends that money is not worth losing your health for.
I am so calm about everything else in life, but money almost always brings out a breakdown in me. I literally can't cope with any uncertainty about cash. I really thought I was over all of this a few years ago - I don't think it ever leaves you.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -

So Egg refunded you (you have received the money?) and now sent a letter about it not being setted?
Maybe give them a call.
Cant offer much advice but sounds like you have some wondeful friends and family.DS1 12/10/04

Hi there
The loan agreement should be something that you signed, did it have your signature on this, and did you enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment for this?
They have 12 days on request to send this to you, now the agreement should show the PPI.;)
Yes, we sent a £1 cheque and it did have OH's signature on the bottom but it has no loan details whatseoever. I thought it might have had how much he borrowed, at least, but it was just really terms and conditions and no personal info at all. Is that what the agreement is suposed to be?0 -
Not sure what Egg were on about in that letter - I've complained about so many banks I can't remember what I'm complaining about!!!
Yeah, panic attacks suck. My chest is agony from spending about an hour trying to breathe properly. I know I really am in a good place financially compared to some, but the quicker I get my FOS case resolved with Sainsburys the better. Money things just really freak me out and I just want to lose all ties I have with the past - particularly one which didn't pay out when I needed their PPI cover most and who really pestered me for money during a time I really was at my lowest. Even thinking about them now makes me feel ill.
I can only see more people needing to challenge firms on PPI matters given the way the economy is at the moment and more people who thought they were covered finding out that it wasn't worth the paper it was written on. And I'm truly gutted for them and what they'll go through.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
I agree with you BGB.DS1 12/10/04

With my agreements, this discloses the loan/ppi and rates etc, I was thinking perhaps a SAR would be a better idea in your case......;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks, I guess that's what we'll have to do now. Will keep you posted!0
