PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

I sent off my SAR using the template letter to Barclays along with a £10 cheque (which they cashed straight away). Today got a reply with 1 sheet of paper giving details of late fee charges (which we had refunded e4ach time)
I would have thought the letter was clear enough that we wanted details of any correspondence/ phone calls we had made with the bank. I wanted evidence of us contacting the bank trying to cancel PPI early on in our agreement.
Any ideas what I should do now?
Thanks
You can either write back to them and give them a nudge or contact the ICO to complain you haven't been given all your info.DS1 12/10/04

OH had a Cahoot flexiloan that was paid off (lump sum) last year as it never seemed to go down. Thought I would investigate whether it had PPI so sent off for loan agreement. It arrived today and I thought would show what the loan amount was and PPI and repayments were but it is literally just terms and conditions with his signature at the end - is this right? I still haven't a clue whether it had PPI though I suspect it did and don't want to pay £10 for SARS for nothing. Also it is dated 2002, I hadn't realised it was that long ago. Is this too old to pursue?
This is not too old to pursue for the PPI but you will only get the information with an SAR I should think.DS1 12/10/04

Got my SARS info back from First plus - loads of sheets of nothingness, no mention of any money paid to broker plus a cd supposed to be of telephone conversations but nothing on it! What a waste of £10 - I'll write to them about the disk and what some of the abbreviations mean - just more delaying tactics by them I suppose?0

Hi there
Good luck with these, hope you win.;)
They have 8 weeks to respond in full, if they replied say for example within 6 weeks, basically its another 2 weeks on the 2nd letter, that is what I have been told.
Keep us posted hun, and keep at them:AX

I have just typed my letter to Egg re card insurance payments so will keep you posted about that too.
I have an LPI agreement on my current loan - would it be wise to cancel it? It's costing me £85 a month on top of my loan repayments. In the current climate I am a bit worried that i'll cancel it and then lose my job (sod's law) and not be able to make the loan payments. Do you have any thoughts?
Again, apologies for posting so many questions!
Hi hun, not a problem, good luck.:D :j
I would try to check out the terms and conds on the policy in regards of cancelling, some finance companies expect you then to refinance on another loan without the PPI, so double check with that at first, because even if you cancel, if after the cooling period the repayments may not come down that much, hopefully someone else will post who have had dealings with the company, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
The loan agreement should be something that you signed, did it have your signature on this, and did you enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment for this?
They have 12 days on request to send this to you, now the agreement should show the PPI.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
Blimey is that all they sent you?
Or have I mis read your post?
If you require the agreement they should supply this to you as a separate request for a charge of £1 postal order or cheque payment and supply this within 12 days of request.
If this was taken out over the last 6 years, they should still have kept this on file/microfiche.
Any problem here I would contact the Information commissioners office (ICO), here who may be able to help you in this situation.;)
