hi ,when someone across the street waves to you and you wait as they cross towards you, all smiles, only to find it was the person behind you that they had seen, so embarrassing. :o If DREAMER in your post is me, thank you soooo much but I think October is a better month;) I`m getting ready to crawl back under my stone never to be seen again.

An update, further to my two posts yesterday:

I spoke to Lloyds TSB yesterday afternoon over the telephone and they have agreed to send me a copy of my loan agreement (they didn't budge easily though - claimed they couldnt do it without a reference number and then as if by magic they got the details up on the screen!) - so I didnt even have to write to them - yesssss!

Am I right in thinking that PPI on credit cards can be claimed back too?

    Hi there

Good, hope you receive the document soon and yes you can try to reclaim the PPI on credit cards as well if again you feel you were mis sold.;)

Well I rang Egg, and I was told that the amount has been cleared. The person I spoke to wasn't the clearest - when I asked about a confirmation letter he said "I should get one".

I'm wondering whether they just cleared it, or whether I'm actually owed some on top - I know the difference between what was outstanding and what they owed me would have been pretty close though.

Anyway, I am soooooo pleased, and like so many people have said on here I never thought i'd get it. Once I get the confirmation letter I'll post the details in the correct thread :-)

    Thanks so much everyone :D

Who hooo hooo, well done :T  , what a relief for you, this is wonderful news hunni, yes post up in the success thread, well deserved.:D ;) XX

  • StillSmiling and di3004 - thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have just typed my letter to Egg re card insurance payments so will keep you posted about that too.

I have an LPI agreement on my current loan - would it be wise to cancel it? It's costing me £85 a month on top of my loan repayments. In the current climate I am a bit worried that i'll cancel it and then lose my job (sod's law) and not be able to make the loan payments. Do you have any thoughts?

Again, apologies for posting so many questions!

  • Hi, I'm still waiting on SARS stuff from Egg but wondered if anyone could advise on different issue please?

OH had a Cahoot flexiloan that was paid off (lump sum) last year as it never seemed to go down. Thought I would investigate whether it had PPI so sent off for loan agreement. It arrived today and I thought would show what the loan amount was and PPI and repayments were but it is literally just terms and conditions with his signature at the end - is this right? I still haven't a clue whether it had PPI though I suspect it did and don't want to pay £10 for SARS for nothing. Also it is dated 2002, I hadn't realised it was that long ago. Is this too old to pursue?

I sent off my SAR using the template letter to Barclays along with a £10 cheque (which they cashed straight away). Today got a reply with 1 sheet of paper giving details of late fee charges (which we had refunded e4ach time)

I would have thought the letter was clear enough that we wanted details of any correspondence/ phone calls we had made with the bank. I wanted evidence of us contacting the bank trying to cancel PPI early on in our agreement.
Any ideas what I should do now?
    Thanks
