  • Hi all,
I've noticed that reclaims by HSBC customers seem fairly few and far between! I've put in a PPI questionnaire and have not received anything in writing (it's now 18 days since i posted it). So I messaged the bank via online banking and got a reply telling me that my issue was being dealt with and asking me to be patient. Frankly, they are expecting far more patience from me than I received from the when my finances were in free fall and they decided to milk me for some extra cash by implying the PPI was essential to get the loan! Anyhoo (rant over lol) anyone having any success with hsbc??
    Thanks :)

Email the CEO as well, he will not directly get back, but tell him your not happy with all this waiting since last year, he should then get his team to deal with matters more quickly for you, fingers crossed.

yes i know about that,i owed them £200 pound & they hounded me for 2 weeks non stop phone calls & eventually took from my account without my consent
  • My wife was "helpfully" sold a 5 year Personal Loan for £3,300 in May 2009 by Lloyds, to consolidate her debt with the bank - at 21.1%!

I would pay it back ASAP if I could afford to do that.

This is the only part of our creaking household finances my wife is in charge of, I am to blame for the rest of the mess.

It has recently come to light that she was told to get the loan she needed to take Lloyds insurance cover. Until I read this website I did not think that was miss selling - it was just their terms? They certainly never told her she could go elsewhere for cover.

In summary we are still paying the loan and insurance so can you claim even if the loan is not settled? Should we tell the bank to stop the cover immediately to help our case?

    Any advice/views welcome???

Hi there, do not cancel the ppi, with this being a loan they will reset the loan, this could mean a longer term and higher APR !!.
Yes you can claim with the account still running.

Look here for reasons for mis sell

If any/all apply to you then get a claim in.
